I checked out this website to see if it would be something I'd want to pay for, and I'm not sure it quite fits that for my tastes. As a gay man, generally I prefer to go to sites that are either queer-focused - having a stronger sense of what my needs are for a dating site - or with clear queer influence into how the site is set up, such as OkCupid.

That said, the site was overall professional-looking and solid. I did have trouble uploading an image, but otherwise I set up a profile very easily, saw at least one person in my area of interest, and I enjoyed filling out the icebreakers. I can imagine using this in the future but would probably want more of a taste of what's available before spending money on it (I wasn't able to look at anyone's profile in any depth).

Tip for consumers:
Keep in mind you don't get very much for free - you have to pay for a lot of the content.

So I've been a member of Do206 for a few years now. I enjoy their daily updates telling me what concerts and events are coming up in my area. They typically have contests to win tickets to events, and we've attended a few free shows that way. Their customer service has also been excellent when we've had problems at the door, or when a show has been canceled, they've found other shows for us to see with our winning tickets (specifically we had Anita Hill cancel her Arts and Lectures tour and we instead saw the Mystery Science Theatre 3000 live show).

I also was a member of their DoStuff program for $5/month which gives you free tickets to shows in the area as well as 10 additional contest entries for various contests. For me, I didn't find this to be worth it due to not being excited by the events offered - I attended a preview of the West Side Story movie, but otherwise it was concerts I wasn't interested in (from bigger to smaller names) and occasional other events like art fairs. Not quite for me, but still very legitimate and could be worth it for the right music fan.

Tip for consumers:
Subscribe to their list to get updated information about local events and make sure to check out their contests to win tickets! And you do get extra contest entries if you are part of their DoMore program.

I had a couple of great ordering experiences with them. During the height of the pandemic, it took a while for these to become available, but these were among the top rated adjustable dumbbells in various best-of lists, so we took the plunge and ordered two pairs.

They've been in pretty much constant use since then (September 2020)! We lift weights about four times a week and they've been easy to use and change the weight on, good for a variety of exercises, and incredibly durable. There is some difference in the form factor between these and "normal" dumbbells but with a few minor exceptions (usually involving the grips) you can do every dumbbell exercise you can think of on these.

After we received these, we realized it would help to have an easy place to put them and a place where it's accessible for adding and lowering weight, so we bought their dumbbell stands which were also effective. These arrived much quicker as we got them in 2021.

We had no issues as far as needing to contact customer service, and while there were shipping delays due to the pandemic, they were upfront about this when we initially ordered. Overall a great experience!

I think overall Noom did some things well and some things didn't work for me.

I think the main thing Noom is good at is both incorporating compelling content into short snippets throughout the day, which included some helpful tips, at least one of which I am still doing (weighing myself every day). I thought the app was easy to use and very user friendly, and I suspect the accountability option - and having a human being check in on you (even if it felt a little automated) could be useful.

However, I didn't feel like it was actually the most helpful in action. Logging food felt pretty clunky compared to my past experience using MyFitnessPal.com, and it just didn't seem to be based around a lot of nutrition science in a way that I would like.

Tip for consumers:
Do the longest free trial you can find to see if it's worth it for you. You can also get a better deal when you cancel the trial usually.

We've had our Keurig coffee machine for two years personally - my partner had it longer than that. Previously I used a Starbucks pod machine which I found a bit more of a clunky process. This is extremely simple to use, insert pod, press button and go, and fill up the water when it's empty. I have had no problems with it and the coffee quality is solid and consistent. It's fairly easy to clean. We did have to find our own third-prtay solution for pod storage. Overall I can't complain - may get a device with a larger water storage next time, or more espresso capabilities, but it's been a good experience overall.

I went through several orders of smoothies through Revive Superfoods and was overall pleased with the results. I found various ways to get discounts on them - referrals, reviewing their products and the general introductory discount - overall I didn't find it so worthwhile to continue at full price, but it's definitely a fun treat to have the smoothies pre-made for you. I also found them a bit difficult to blend unless you mash them up a bit, and the liquid level they request isn't always accurate, but they are still tasty and I get a lot of fruits/vegetables in my diet I wouldn't otherwise get. It was also very easy to sign up, cancel and make account changes.

Tip for consumers:
Make sure you get in on an intro rate, and any referrals will save you money!

I've done two orders using Martie and found it to be a great experience overall. I appreciate that I am helping prevent food waste by ordering surplus food, and the food/drinks available are often name brands (usually more niche or natural/organic) that I'd be interested in anyway. The quality of the food has been very high and it usually arrives fairly quickly.

Tip for consumers:
Make sure you watch for the 1 cent items which rotate out! And if you buy more than $50, you get free shipping.

When you are using the site, it is low paying but effective. However, they will ban you randomly. I was banned twice.

Once they admitted was a mistake.

The second time they said my response was unhelpful when asked, ""What products similar to this new potential brand do you currently use?" Your response reads: "I don't use anything like this." I don't believe this response is worthy of a ban and I'm not sure how else I could have responded honestly.

Unless you want to submit responses and risk getting banned for no reason, I can't recommend this site to anyone.

Tip for consumers:
Don't use it.
