And here's something that I wrote under the same topic at Fraudwatchers, just a few minutes ago...

I am sad… very sad… And I am disappointed… with myself… How can it be that eclike NOT in my Alert Lists, at least? How can I miss the scam report by 'Unregistered' (22 November 2010, 16:53) right here in Fraudwatchers? If the report is at some other antifraud site, I can give all sorts of reason, but here? I am here almost every day, yet missed it… It could save Shrea from being scammed. I feel very disappointed with myself.

I know I could not save the world. But I can try, and will continue trying. Saving one single buyer from being scammed is good enough for me. But I need everybody's help. Not just Frau Chin, or the Fraudwatchers. I do mean everybody. We have seen how scam-sites like eclike have survived for a year and will stay active and scam more innocent victim for another year if we don't do something about it. But thanks to mysteryquest, those data will be in my Lists soon, very soon.

I cannot guarantee I have collected every scam data from every site that I visited, whether past reports or the recent and current ones. I am only a human, alone. I missed, misread or misunderstood. But if we work together; you, me, Fraudwatchers and all the other antifraud websites, I am sure we will succeed. The chances will be better. We can never get rid of all known scam-sites or stop new ones from cropping up, but I am sure we will win a lot more battles, if not the war.

Help me by collecting scam data from whatever site you visited and post it in here. Help me by getting all the relevant info if you can. Let us be intelligent enough to do good scam report or review. Let us build a scam data that not only will save our friends but also hit back at the scammers. I can't do it alone, I really do need help, your help, to help others...

I can't help myself from taking this opportunity to promote Fraudwatchers. Yes, I come from there, but NO, I am not one of them, not one of their staff. But none the less, we have been very close, we cooperate and help each other (they helped me, mostly) in fighting fraud and scam in the internet. If you want to buy something from China, have zoomed in on one or two buyers, post a query in Fraudwatchers (at http://www.fraudwatchers.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=132&order=desc to be exact) and see what they have to say. You can also check on my Alert Lists and Scam Money Recipients List too, stickied to the top for easy access.

Yup, I had my share of fun and exciting adventures with them especially when 'scammers' came to pay a visit. One even has the gut to give me a warning in the forum. Hihihi… And the mods clamouring to my rescue. Yup, they were my safety shield indeed. They were my teachers, tutors, advisors, everything.

Well… that's my experience with them…

A review done at my group. Hope can be of help to readers here too...

First of all… Welcome to China Scam Central, moonbin77…

If you have searched usbxt.com using Google, I am sure you would have found that they have been listed as SCAMMER in Alibabascam.com. Going to the site this is all I could find:

Xun Teng Electronic Technology Ltd Address: Room 2708, Leizhen Building, Fuming road, Futian District, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China Website: www.usbxt.com E-mail: *******@usbxt.com *******@gmail.com MSN: *******@hotmail.com Tel: 0086-*******3034

I am sure we want to know why? That's what I wish to do with every company and dotcom that I have listed in my Lists, but it is an impossible task, and I have to collect as much data as I can in the shortest period possible so as to make my Lists relevant. But going through a few current websites that interest members is all I can do, learning together as we go along.

Opening the main page, we can see that it is quite convincing.

1. We can see they are affiliated to Alibaba, Global Sources and Made-in-China.
2. They are using their own company emails, not free emails.
3. They also display all sorts of certificates.
4. At the footnote also we can see that the domain was copyrighted from 2004 – 2011.
5. We can also see that they are selling only flash-drives, not everything that you can find under the sun.

Going through the Company page, we can read their history and product development and quality.

Even in their Payment page they give full information about to which account payment should be made.

1. T/T informations:
A/c No.: **************834
A/c Name: Lixin Lin
Ben's Bank: Bank of China Shenzhen Bei Fang Building SUB-Branch
SWIFT Code: BKCHCNBJ45A
Post Code: *******
Bank Add: 1/F, Bei Fang Building, Shen Nan Zhong Road, Shenzhen, China

2. Western Union and MoneyGram:
First Name: Lixin
Last Name: Lin
City: Shenzhen
State: Guangdong
Country: China

Though not a company account, I think some of us can accept it when being clearly displayed like that. Only one name, possibly the owner, manager or account executive.

I think as a whole we can accept and feel confident with our first impression of the company.

BUT…

1. The three logos of Alibaba, Global Sources and Made-in-China are for good impression only. There is no Xun Teng Electronic Technology Ltd in Alibaba or Global Sources. And though they are present in Made-in-China, the last date they sign-in was Jun 03,2009.
2. This is Usbxt.com Whois info:

Domain Name... usbxt.com
Creation Date... 2010-05-21 17:51:05
Registration Date…. 2010-05-21 17:51:05
Expiry Date... 2011-05-21 17:51:05
Organisation Name... lin xiansheng
Organisation Address. Xiamen
Organisation Address.
Organisation Address. Xiamen
Organisation Address. *******
Organisation Address. FJ
Organisation Address. CN

What they say at footnote at their website 'Copyright © 2004-2011' is not true.

For me, displaying unauthorized logos, icons or seals that can give credibility, security and trust will raise a lot of red flags. They purposely put in logos of Alibaba and Global Sources solely to deceive buyers. I usually give 5 red flags for each logo, totaling 10.

And I usually give 1 red flag for 1 year of lie about their domain age. They earned 6 red flags there.

I don't give red flags for WU/MG payment because buyers have a choice with TT but I will give 2 red flags for payment into personal account.

I think it is more than enough for me to say that they are untrustworthy to do business with. A good and honest company don't have to lie. They can survive my scam score even if they are a one year old company, using free email, free website, even payment to a personal account. But please remember that we are evaluating only the website, not their products and service yet.

For moonbin, I would wish you request more info from them, ask for their licenses and certificates. We can learn more not only about them but also we can compare with other companies as well. That is why we have our collection of licenses and certificates in our group. Maybe someone with knowledge can give some comment, teach us how to identify genuine and fake licenses and certificates, what is actually required by companies to exist legally, to manufacture, to export etc.

We have to learn to survive. The more we know, the less we'll be scammed.

This is my review of outletscentre.com posted in Fraudwatchers... edited...

Now that the name outletscentre.com was mentioned in this thread, just above this post, let's us visit the site to know more about them.
1. Give me the company name
2. Give me the address, office address, factory address or outlets address, or any address that is connected to them.
3. Give me their phone number, doesn't matter whether landline or mobile.
4. I see they use *******@gmail.com, a free email account. What if I open an account: *******@gmail.com, I am sure I can spam websites and forums, ask you to visit the site but deal with me, send money to me. Wouldn't it be nice, no need to fork out even a cent. I will receive the money but they will get the blame for non-delivery of purchased goods.

Payment Option:
We accept these payment methods:
Credit Card: Just make purchases online (Minimum/Maximum price: $3 / $1000).
Paypal: *******@gmail.com
Money booker: *******@gmail.com ID: *******
Western Union.
T/T.
If you have any questions about the payment method,
Please feel free to contact us via Email:
*******@gmail.com

Maybe somebody can find out their TT particulars, whether payment to company or individual's name.

This is what I get for their domain info:
Domain name: outletscentre.com
Registrant Contact: zhangsan
San zhang
*******5678 fax: *******5679
Fujian province, Beujing City Beijing Beijing ******* cn
Created: 2010-11-15 Expires: 2011-11-15

Reverse Whois: "zhangsan" owns about 18,536 other domains

I usually don't make any comment on items that they are selling, and the price. If they want to sell at that price, and you agree to buy, what's the problem? But ask yourself whether you can trust outletscentre.com to deliver the goods with what is presented above.
