On 10-02-22, I purchased this item at Harvey Norman, Fyshwick, ACT. I tried this miserable so-called smartphone by Opel out and was firstly surprised that it did not have a touch-screen. The software was confusing and it took me half an hour to find my way around the endless subroutines. I am computer literate and I can assure you that I have never seen anything like this in complicated and confusing software. After trying it I was absolutely disappointed and asked myself how an elderly person could use this confusing phone. I brought it back directly for a refund. This is the only way to deal with over-complicated items.

The service at Harvey Norman, Fyshwick was miserable as always and returning the item was a nightmare taken nearly 3/4 of an hour. On top of that, the money did not return back into my account as every decent and customer friendly company such as Coles, Aldi, or Woolworth would do, no it takes days until the money returned by Harvey Norman can be found in your account. Take this fact into consideration if you purchase anything at Harvey Norman. Next time I purchase items at Amazon as there are no complications to return an item if I am not satisfied.

Tip for consumers:
Do not purchase this product as the software is confusing. No touchscreen.

The name Henkel is a name that stands for German first-class quality. Somat must be an outsider and does not fit in the quality experience with the Henkel products. I purchased this product at Coles at Curtin in the ACT and used it in the top of the range Miele dishwashing automat being one of the best money can purchase. The outcome was more or less unsatisfactory as my pictures will show. The forks and knives have been unclean after using Somat in my Miele. I am disappointed with the outcome and suggest looking for another product such as Fairy that I used before and was very happy with the outcome.
My advise:
Think twice before you spend a lot of money on Somat Excellence 4-in-1 Gel Caps. This German product is not on par with the German-made Miele dishwasher. Use Fairy if you want to spend the money.

Tip for consumers:
Do not purchase this product as it is not up to the high-quality standard of Fairy.

Here is another con from another "FREE" trickster. I purchased this item from a Coles shop in the ACT. Under several companies distributing Stevia sweetener products on the retail shelves at supermarkets is a brand called natVia. I took this product as it offered me a free amount on the outside printed on the can.
Opening the can and comparing it with pictures of the advertised FREE part of the item, I was disappointed and rather angry as in reality the picture did not show the real amount that is given free but a fake and illusional amount that was not in the container at all. What a con!

Be careful when purchasing items promising you something for free. In many cases it is a simple advertising trick people fall on and purchase the item thinking to get something for nothing.

It shows again there is nothing for free in any shop, you may pay for it gaining the experience not to purchase the item from the company again.

Tip for consumers:
That the amount advertised as free is not in the retail box.

Using several pharmaceutical products it came to my attention that most of the packaging with medications is half-empty or only half-full. This is a waste of space in the supply chain, at the pharmacies, and last not least in my personal medical storage facility at home.
We pay for something that is not what it looks like. Most of the space in the packaging is simply air. Imagine a soft drink company would sell you only half a bottle of soda water, or if you are into some alcoholic beverages a bottle of wine would be half empty. I am sure there would be an outcry by the consumers.
It is interesting that nobody questions the Billion Dollar pharma industry about the half-empty medication boxes they try to sell to the consumers imposing there is more in the box than in reality. I am sure they have an explanation that is most definitely untrue. Consumers have eyes and are not stupid. Please also view the Pharma Mafia report on radioandmedia.net.
It is time that there will be a change and I hope that the Federal Government will do something against make-believe packaging.

After a long time disputing my claim and countless repairs, Panasonic decided to replace the air conditioning unit. The new ac works excellent and is precise as can be. I am absolutely satisfied with the outcome and love my Panasonic Air Conditioning System.

Panasonic Air Conditioner CS-Z60VKR. Useless at its best. 12 Service Calls No Results.

About one year ago the Panasonic CS-Z60VKR was installed in my house. From the first day, the unit did not work correctly, never synchronised the remote control temperature with the temperature of the unit. There have been 5-10 degrees Celsius difference between the remote and the room temperature. I complained to Panasonic and to ActewAGL where the item has been purchased and several visits by technicians recognising the fault could not change the temperature regulation. A motherboard was exchanged by Panasonic but without any results. Panasonic has visited me 12 times and only smiled as the technician could not repair the fault.
In earlier years, I only purchased Deakin Air Conditioners in my various houses. These items worked floorless and I always was happy about the products. This new Panasonic Air Conditioner is a dud and as it looks like it will never work and hold the temperature as required. Worse of all is that Panasonic Service found the fault with my help and support and could not fix the fault. Panasonic now ignores me and does not come forward with an exchange of the unit. The unit has 5 years guarantee but never worked satisfactorily since the installation. I now have to take legal action to get the unit exchanged or repaired.

Tip for consumers:
Read all reports about this item before you purchase this item.

On the 1st December 2021, I had a return parcel to a seller by eBay. This parcel was hand-delivered by me to the office of Parcelpoint at Phillip in the ACT. The parcel tracking number was ID: PHCGCSP3. The receiver did not get the parcel after about 4 weeks and I was told by Parcelpoint that it was picked up by Couriers Please another company that cannot be reached for complaints. Parcelpoint is not able to prove that the parcel was sent, has no prove by whom it was picked up, and does not take any responsibility.
My advice is: stay away from companies such as Parcelpoint as they have no idea and prove where and with which company picks up items. It is a shambles of an administration and the sender is without any guaranty of delivery or is getting a receipt for an item being posted.

I ordered an item from eBay Australia. The item was technically faulty. I complained to eBay, they send me a return sticker to send the item back to the seller. The item was in transit for more than 30 days as to the Corona Virus delays.
The fraudulent seller complaint to eBay and got the money on halt for the faulty product. Now, I do not have the item as it is lost in transit and lost $199 for the item that eBay refunded to the phony seller.
The eBay customer service could not understand the situation.
I will never purchase anything from eBay again. For years, I purchase items from Amazon and have had no difficulties if something goes wrong. Never again, eBay! I learned my lesson. The customer service of eBay is miserable.

Tip for consumers:
Be careful where you purchase your products and make sure that the customer service is easy to reach on the phone or by email. Companies hide behind glamorous web pages and you have no possibility to contact the service.

I generally purchased the dog food brand Hill's Science Diet at the local Petbarn shop. Last time I needed the dog food the shop was closed as a result of the Corona Virus that plagued Australia. I had to purchase online and had to pay about $40 more than generally. I was angry and decided no more to purchase from the Petbarn. I often purchase from Amazon and am very happy with the service. I got the extra-large bag, three times the weight I generally get from Petbarn for less than half the price and I did not have to carry the lot to the car and from the car into the house. Amazon did this free of charge as I am a Prime customer. Well done Amazon and thank you.

Some days ago, I ordered from Coles Online three large bags of each 8kg Pedigree Adult with Real Chicken for delivery on Saturday 27-11-21 afternoon. There was a delivery fee of $4 I agreed to.
For sure the delivery came, but the delivery person did not bother to ring the bell or knock on the door. Checking the delivery, I received items I did not order. I received two items of Pedigree Adult with Real Beef and one bag of a different brand Supercoat, which I did not order, and my dogs would not eat.
I rang up the phone number for complaints 0429 989 656 and a child of about 3-5 years answered the phone crying and going on in the same fashion. I heard a non-English speaking person in the background talking and not speaking with me at all.
After this disaster, I rang up the helpline on 1800 455 400 and after waiting a considerable time a female voice answered. I told her about the wrong delivery of the dog food items and made clear that I did not order or want Supercoat products. I was asked to wait for a while as she had to speak to the local Coles shop.
As I am disabled, I asked her that the Coles service to please pick up the wrong delivery and replace the item with the correctly ordered goods I paid for. It was agreed to do so, and delivery was planned for the next day at about the same time.
About an hour later, I received an email with a NEW INVOICE and again the Supercoat dog food that I specific not want and I was newly invoiced plus a far higher delivery fee of $8. No credit note for the wrong delivery was issued on my account. On the 28-11-21 I rang up Coles Online and after discussing the case and about 40 minutes of cross-connecting the call and waiting I had the new order cancelled. Incompetence seems to rain at Coles Online.
Again, the order was incorrectly placed by the online telephone consultant taking my complaint. By the way, it does not make me wonder that the complaint went wrong again as the English of the telephone consultant was rather questionable.
For about 30 years I am a Coles customer and never came across such bad customer service. In future, I will make my purchases of groceries somewhere else where I get the correct service and my items are correctly dispatched. I will change over to Aldi and enjoy lover prices as well.

  • Allianz

If you like stress and endless waiting times on the phone, the worst is not Telstra but Allianz Insurances. I had two claims, one car damage claim and a household claim created by the same person as the car claim and here the saga begins, I have spent hours on the phone without results, or very little results. The Allianz call-back system does not work either and you wait and wait as I did today. It just made it up to 2 hours to get my enquiries answered.
As the case was a willful damage and the Police caught the perpetrator on a surveillance system any kind of excess charge of $600 should have been canceled.
The claim cases are handled by two different departments at Allianz. The car insurance waved the $600 excess whereby the household insurance did not and the $600 have been withdrawn from the pay-out amount. The excuse was that re-payments of excess fees are refunded if the perpetrator pays the full amount in question. In my opinion this can take years of the person pays in $5 installments if he is on any kind of Centrelink or other pension that cannot be taken. In a willful damage the Court makes the decision for the damage payments.

If you have a household insurance, make sure you are aware the trickery insurance companies are using. Allianz spends heaps of money in advertising and proclaims how wonderful it is to be with Allianz and how quick the claims are paid by Allianz.
Farfetched, I would call this. Allianz is not better or worse than most of the insurance companies only interested in their chairholders and less in their customers. Sometimes it is better not to be insured and to invest the money you pay for insurance fees into the short-term money market, and you are better off. Think twice before you sign up on any insurance and read the fine print even if it is printed not in fine. Be aware and shop around!

Tip for consumers:
Shop around before you sign up and please read the fine print especially about excess contribution.

In 65 years of accident-free driving, I never lost a key. Everything happens once and it did last weekend. All keys, house, letterbox and worst and most annoying of all was the car key. These keys are expensive and often it takes up to a month to get the job done. I called all near and far locksmith companies and the waiting time was up to one month.
Then I found Out and About, not in my area and got a first-class low price and a service in an hour or so. The locksmith was helpful, very knowledgeable and very reasonable as to the price.
I am a real old fusspot, and I can assure you that I am not easy to please. However, Out and About has done it again! I saw countless positive reports and here is one more of the good reports. I will ask all my friends and countless followers on Google and the Australian Product Review to go to this excellent and very professional locksmith. Well done and thank you again.
