The Steel Magnolia movie was filmed in this house, where you will see the original house where this film of the ages was filmed. You can even stay a weekend, or even a week in the home and sleep in the same beds that the characters from this film were. I dont think you could find one person that has not seen this absolutely amazing movie at least once. If you havent seen it boy are you in for a treat. You can enjoy watching the movie on Dvd in the house it was filmed on a big screen tv that is located in the family room of this beautiful home. And you wont want to miss Mama Roses breakfast when you wake up each morning. The stories and just pure joy that she brings to this house will leave you speechless. I hope you will visit this wonderful place we call the Steel Magnolia House.

This unique dress shop located in the heart of Natchitoches, La. Home of the Steel Magnolia movie and the oldest town in the Louisiana Purchase. This quant town has a number of small family owned shops and restraunts and has so much history in it that you would not even dare to fit it all in one weekend. But I have no doubt that you will find anything you need right here in this fabulous dress shop. It has a little of something for that special lady.

If you are ever in Natchitoches, La. A small town just south of Shreveport, La. And north of Alexandria, La. You can't leave without eating and dancing on a Saturday night at this family oriented and good time restraunt. They offer two sides Mama's side which is your seafood, burgers, or pretty much anything you could want to eat, or if you are in the mood for a steak dinner or a big burger and fries then Papa's side is where you would want to relax and have a wonderful meal. On the weekends you can get your dancing shoes on and enjoy a live band, yes thats right a live band to dance the night away and just enjoy the company of good people and good friends. It is on the "brick road" which goes right through downtown Natchitoches, home of the movie Steel Magnolias and you can even see the Cane River from the comfort of the restraunt, while dining, or dancing. This restraunt is family owned and operated and is really the place to be any night or day of the week. Natchitoches is honored to have this wonderful unique restraunt in the middle of downtown for all of our tourists which we like to call family to join together for a truly good clean fun times. They even have t'shirts so you will always be able to look at it and remember your time here in Natchitoches, La. And tell your friends back home about the new friends you met from a small town in Louisiana.
