I purchased what looked like a great product from the Year To Appear website: security camera lightbulbs. They use existing outlets and seemed to be feature rich. The problem was how these actually are supposed to work. The enclosed "user manual" – was a flimsy piece of paper (with the primary language in what looks like Chinese characters) was difficult to read (English second side) and confusing. What I was able to figure out was how you have to scan in a QR code (also very suspicious due to the writing below it!?!?!), and if you do, it required international authorization for the connection! Ah, no thanks! Who exactly would be gathering/processing information on these cameras? Well, I tried to return (immediately after receiving them), them almost two months ago. Still no refund even though I met and followed all the requirements (they were all in the original packaging…I only opening one of the four I ordered…never used it…returned according to their instructions.) STEER CLEAR of this company. They misrepresent themselves and operate unethically.

So…I have a question for anyone who has been on this site. Do you see this same things I am? SO many of the profiles have the same written content. How do they see what someone else has written? I can't view what other women are looking for (since I am not looking for other women!) Also, could just be me, but so many conversations get going over a period of time, interest seems to heighten, then they go silent.? This isn't just one person…this is many…and after they proclaim I am "one in a million".? Is this site just pushing interest and pretending to be actually subscribers? Or are these scammers? Either way, it doesn't inspire confidence. Lastly, they say they are trying to protect me from the imposters…but so many profiles are clearly not reviewed. What's odd about that is, they didn't allow a photo upload on my profile with me and my granddaughter citing it was outside their "photo acceptance protocol". Seriously? Have you SEEN some of the photos people are allowed to post? Bare chested and in bed? While me and my granddaughter at the mall is not acceptable? I wonder…who is at the wheel here…and who is actually behind some of the profile posted…? Not so sure.

I tried to order items for Christmas from Neiman Marcus online. It started off hopeful – then turned into a challenge quickly. First, the banner at the top of the website is wrong. There is NO free shipping. Second, when shipping items to multiple addresses, the page keeps reverting to the sender's address, causing you to have to re-select the actual address (you JUST entered)…. Again and again (especially for multiple recipients.) I had ten items going to 8 locations. This turned into a tedious back and forth task double checking and correcting addresses. Then, once I was certain all the information was STILL correct…. I placed the order. Low and behold, they omitted an item on the summary (although the item count at the Order Summary charge showed 10). The online chat was slow and no real help. I called CS and they were able to confirm all ten items, but they had two of the same item going to one person. UGH! They did fix it by canceling that one item…and reordering it. BTW – my email confirmation only showed ONE ITEM! This is totally messed up! Taking my holiday business elsewhere for the remaining items I need. Lastly, this order process took nearly an hour and a half (not very efficient!) and totaled nearly $1000. Beware ordering online from NM. Might be faster to just call or visit a store!

Tip for consumers:
Shipping to multiple addresses is a challenge! Be sure to double check all the items and recipient addresses to make sure they have not defaulted to your address.

These are all Christmas gifts. I will let you know if they are actually received, in the timeframe offered, and in good condition.

I had the WORSE experience this past Christmas. Just so everyone knows, ToM is simply a third-party shipper who purchases items out of other company's warehouses. Their return policy really isn't. Their customer service isn't either. The product descriptions are deceiving and after waiting for up to two months for your order to be shipped from China (or who knows overseas!)... they give you all of 7 days to return it (that includes shipping it back... which... do the math!) I do NOT recommend this faux store front or the substandard products they "represent" in their advertising!

Tip for consumers:
Buyer beware. The product I purchased did not reflect their description, did not perform as specified and their return policy is IMPOSSIBLE taking into account the extended shipping time it takes....that is unless you’re willing to spend just as much on rush return shipping as you did the actual product!
