Alta Vista is one of the older sites out there... and that's a good thing in case you were wondering. I like it's simple, clean look, and fast results. Not so great for finding images, but when it comes to crawling the web, they have done their job well for a long time. Still use it frequently.

This guy knows all the in's and out's of building really cool animated websites. Fun just to go look at all the stuff he has done. Pretty good sense of "tongue in cheek" humor is always worth a chuckle.

Huge selection of really welldone fonts... not crappy stuff like you find in shareware. I am a font fanatic - I look for techical construction value in the fonts I use... these guys have it. Great prices, and the interface lets me see the full range of all characters, not just a select few keystrokes. I have bought several... including a cool "varsity" outline font that I couldn't find anywhere else.

Really big on graphically presenting information to end users. Easy as any other search engine in that you simply type in a phrase and "go"... but the results are a lot better than just little blue hyperlinks... you can see stuff about the website in thumbnail and larger just by moving your mouse over something. Supports stuff like click to chat and click to call. Pretty good idea and easy to find what you want.
