About Me

Graduate student doing a PhD program in Theology. Did Chinese and Japanese classics at MA level.

How I Can Help

Previous freelance photographer, college lecturer, researcher on theology and culture, including films. Will always research on eBay, Amazon and other sites before buying stuff in stores. So I can share my experience in online buying with all. Love books - I have about 4,000 over copies in my own library. Periodically give boxes of them away to students for recycling purposes, and to get some walking space at home! Read Chinese books and watch Chinese movies, too. Would love to share with

Interests

For those who read and buy books online week after week, this website is a great help especially if you are looking for used books.

Simply write the title, author or ISBN, the site will churn out all the sites from the cheapest book price in a table for you to compare. You can then click on the site you want to go to, and booksprice will bring you there. If you want another alternative, www.bookfinder.com is good, too.

I'm not sure if they do earn a commission or how they do it but it has been a great help for me. I buy all my graduate course books second hand, partly due to tight budget, partly for environmental reasons. I love recycled stuff.

Hope this helps more students!

I have been buying almost 95% of my graduate books here, and it has been very pleasant so far. Of course one would expect the occasional hiccups like the books are not as described. When that happened, I asked the book seller if the wrong version had been sent (for example, a book that is only of an "acceptable" condition charged for the one I bought at "Very Good"). And I got my money back. Everything was done professionally.

There are so many book sellers and you have a high chance of getting what you want.

Another good thing about this website is you can pre-order the book(s) you need by stating the price you are willing to pay. Once it is available, you will be informed!
