  • Bemion

9/7/20

My problem began with my own mistake ordering a product supposedly on sale from Bemion without checking other sources for it such as Amazon. I was surfing to find out about what a Magic Cooler was because my AC went kaput and I needed something until I was able to fix it. I came upon the Bemion website and was drawn in by a limited time only scheme Ii now know was meant to entrap. I paid supposed 1/2 price of an Arctic Air Magic Cooler from them at $142. But afterward found out the same item is available on Amazon for $21. Bemion's return policy is abysmal. I have attempted to return the cheaply made unit but their rep told me I had to pay a 30% restocking charge. I refused saying that their return policy said nothing about a restocking charge. Now I am waiting for their RMA#. If I do not receive one in 3 days I am going to call my credit card company; have the payment cancelled; change the PiN number on my credit card; report them to the BBB. I learned a valuable lesson about online purchasing.

This company has been a well-known name used as the go-to product for the electrical industry for lighting switches, dimmers, sensors, wall-plates, plugs, timers and so on,

This attractive fan is substantial, heavier than many. Low power is like high power on table top fans and it has two fan blades one larger and one small.
You wouldn't want to put this in a small room because it is big and powerful and takes up space but If you live in a hot climate and don't have A/C this fan will knock your socks off!
I think you could use it in a wind tunnel! It would do well in a family room/ living room.
I use it in winter because it is too cold to open windows for some air circulation. And my tiny apartment is really to small for it but there is nothing wrong at all with the quality.

I can't afford to buy a new cylinder every week at $35 each. It's cheaper for me to buy sparkling water in bottles at the store. I'm taking my Sodastream back for a refund.

Used to be commericial-free apps but now there has been an ad explosion.
Full ads not just the 4 second skip type. I don\t mind those but full ads without being able to opt out unless you pay 99 cents per month on some of the apps that's taking advantage of users. All or nothing it seems.

I highly recommend. I tried other ad blocking software but they fall far short of the effectiveness of Adblock. Besides it is free for donation. Until I chose settings Adblock slowed my computer down but now that I customized it all is well. As soon as I downloaded it all junk emails and ads stopped immediately. If a website wants you to disable an ad blocker in order to view contents then maybe you don't want to agree because they want to download their cookie. Or you can disable blocking on that website or pause it.

  • Staples CA

Never, never, never waste your money on this warranty. What the clerk tells you is bullocks. By the time you are finished getting jacked up by Staples you could have bought a new computer. The warranty covers repairs not backups and no free computer replacement. You'll gave to pay $129. To have them do a backup for you if you don't know how to do it your self. You have to drop the PC off at a Staples store and it will be gone to the Depot for 10-15 business days, that's 2 -3 wks. Staples does not give you a new computer if it is beyond fixing but instead they give you a store credit for whatever the depreciated worth of your computer is. And that's not all. You have to spend that money on a new computer that is exactly the same model as the broken one. Gouging, greedy bunch. Big time misrepresentation.
I won't be buying anything from them anymore. They used to be my go-to store for literally everything.

  • Adobe Systems

I only had the program installed for 20 days in which time I could not use it and I had problems with computer not responding. I entered an online chat with a foreign Adobe contact to cancel my order and it took 37 minutes before I ended it without having received satisfaction. NOT Happy.

I got this one for my first cellphone about a week ago. I tried out a smartphone but didn't like it.
I use Win 8.1 on my home laptop and this phone has similar icons/apps and I can get around it to do settings etc. The clam shell design is just right for me.
For someone who is on a strict budget or a small allowance, it is easily affordable and the plans available are inexpensive (eg $30//mo).

I am upset with Whitemud Superstore in Edmonton. The cashiers don't seem to understand they have to keep up the pace instead of visiting with their friends at the till.

Excellent! 20+ utilities in one bundle. Ultra-fast scanning and defrag speed. No need to buy separate components. Includes reg cleaner, file shredder, clean and repair, disc and registry defrag, system tools, start up editor, optimization tools to name only a few. There is virtually no need to contact the company but contact via email response is prompt. The option of a 1 yr subscription is under $30, presently $22.49. I am confident you will never need anything better.

If you don't know enough to enter your name and address exactly as it appears on your credit card statement you will not be able to verify your payment method. Your name and address entry is case sensitive, for example all caps. This information is not included in FAQ.

If you accidentally erase a component of the software such as Bonjour you cannot re-install iTunes unless you erase the corrupt version. Again the solution is not in FAQ and customer service did not know the simple answer which is use repair option in Programs and Services instead of trying to download software anew.

  • Target.ca

Compared to Zellers (Target bought out). Selection of goods very limited especially in women's apparel and jewelry. I miss shopping at Zellers and wish Target had stayed out. Now there are empty stores
Leaving us with no discount stores except Wally.

Long ago I had a really bad keylogger and redirect virus. I tried McGaffe, Panda, AVG, Spybot, MS Essentials and others I don't recall now. "StopZilla" detected and eliminated the invaders after running a deep scan.

  • Staples

I never have to wait for a sales person to offer help. I don't know
Everything new in electronics so explaining what I am looking for
Can be difficult to understand without the lingo. They listen instead of pushing a hard sell and I get just what I need and don't have to waste time hanging around in the store.

  • Petsmart

3/17/15

There is no advantage to shopping there when I can get cans
In the grocery store. I only have to make one stop that way.
I haven't seen any significant price difference.

  • CNET

I use cnet to find freeware (not trial version) or to check reviews about software I propose to buy. Each item shows how many users have downloaded it and their reviews. If you need help with how to, cnet has tutoring videos and text, detailed instructions, on many topics. I trust the site and rely upon staff reviews.
