I could compare this platform to Imgur, another media sharing site, but tailored to artists. For some reason, it's way easier to spot the more questionable content than art with more effort put into them (this includes the art piece itself, as well as the content in the description). I could describe it as "freer" than other artists platforms, as there are LOTS of ways to communicate with everyone. About a couple years ago (I'm sure it was way longer before) I noticed they started to mimic Facebook status sharing, which I thought was a little strange. Even the polls thing is kind of an excessive feature to have. I understand it's all meant for more community involvement, which has happened, but there's also the responsibility of the website host as well as the artists to maintain and encourage composure throughout the community. There is a LOT of blaming and blame mongering (as you can see here). There will ALWAYS be people we like and dislike. Your success (whether it's your favorite count, watch count, etc.) on this website WILL NOT fall at your feet. This is a website where you must involve yourself in what the website has to offer and supporting other artists will help the site immensely, believe it or not.

Ultimately, this website is like the gateway to the art you really want to do. If you feel you already have your skills honed, I do suggest tumblr, Artstation, or Pixiv (japanese based), even Facebook. DeviantArt can help increase your fanbase if you understand its quirks.

Tip for consumers:
I am an artist on DA, with few watchers and favorites =] I use the website to analyze responses on my artwork as well as see what the community is up to.

Obviously, ignore the more questionable content/users you might see. Report the things that obviously violate DA terms.

I don't browse for certain games/media being streamed (which you can do) but I'm able to watch my favorite people (artists, gamers, and friends) do what they do in the comfort of their home or working space, live or past broadcast. The delay is fairly minimal for me, but then there's the occasional invasive ad playing in the middle of the streams. So you could be missing out on something important, which is a little bothersome. Depending on the popularity of the streamer, chat can get a little hectic as well, but you can opt out of chat if you like. Setting up a stream was simple enough last I tried it, and of course they offer a few more options to get your stream going. I'm not sure what the standard is for those options, but so far, it all works pretty well for me.

Tip for consumers:
Refresh browser to combat lag, never leave browser if you want chat updated (on mobile) haha

I ordered some accessories and a shirt for my parents as a Christmas gift. They loved the items and my mom wore the accessories I got her the very next day at work! It's nice to see my parents' responses.

I'm not sure how well the shirt fit my dad. His initial response was "2xL?!" which I thought was funny. He's not particularly big, he's just tall with a bit of a belly, so I have mixed feelings on how the sizes are categorized for the clothes in general.

Ultimately though, the styles are very nice, and not something I see often in stores I usually go to or seen. I haven't bought it yet, but I am in love with the dandelion seed necklaces and I'm dead set on getting the whole collection.

Overall, pretty happy and satisfied with my Rosegal experience so far~

Tip for consumers:
Mind the size charts! Their measurements are rather different.

If you really look at them, practically EVERY popular triple A game has top scores with little to no explanation on the "why." If this is not already apparent with the newest games, then ultimately, you must not care about the game's actual content. This is not to say that they MIGHT be good, and no one is saying these games can't be enjoyable, but a game isn't "Great" or a "Masterpiece" because it's just been released or "everyone loves it." Even Undertale was rated "10 a Masterpiece" and if you've played it or even watched it, you might understand why this is an overblown exaggeration of the experience itself. Ultimately, I would use it as a tool to help compare with other opinions on the media as well (good and bad, if you aren't doing that already).

Tl; dr Please be wary of bias =]
