I had similar experience like others when ordering parts. When I placed my parts order, the site showed a shipping date of 2 to 3 weeks. However, I was not inform that the manufacture would take another 2 to 3 weeks to fulfilled the order and it wasn't until i called and then email that found out about the delay. Solomotopart did give me the option to cancel the order, and if could wait that long. The savings for me was $50 dollars, if i was to order from another vendor. I had oder the parts with ample time for my schedule ride. So I greed to wait, and waited.

The shipped oder was missing a doubletake mirror, my order showed processed so I emailed to let them know of the missing item. Mike from solo moto said that they would look into the issue, and later said that they had refunded me for the item. But it wasn't until i asked for the missing item that they refunded the money and told me about their internal issue with the vendor not doing drop shipping for their customer orders (that is not the customer's fault), and as if they didn't know that they had not shipped the item. Solo moto should Not have an item available for purchasing and available with a shipping date at the time of costumer purchase if the don't have it in stock and or can't get it from the vendor or have issues with vendor and internal staff filling orders and not letting the customer know about the order.

Talk about irritating inconvenience, I didn't get the parts in time for my planed long weekend ride, spend over $500 (and you would think is free shipping - yeah no you pay for shipping)

Mike at solo moto offer a refund, like here is your money go a way. I say this because i told him that i didn't want a refunds - send my the part i order. How about, we made a mistake let us fix it and as soon as we get the item in stock we will ship one out to you for your inconvenience and appreciation for your valuable customer patronage. You paid for an item waited for us over a month to ship and didn't get one of the parts - will make it right.

I've order parts from other vendors like ReveZilla, Rocky Mountain, ProCycle, RSW... they have shipped parts on the date posted on their site, email and posted a tracking # no hassle - you wondering about shipping or parts availability. If is not in stock, it's posted - not available/out of stock - back order. I save a little by getting my part from different vendors as they have different prices, Not with Solomotoparts - you might save a little but be aware you may not get order parts and wait a long time for ordered parts.
