I engaged with the above Company to fix some loose tiles on my roof as I had a leak
And to clean the roof, they also confirmed that after the chemical cleaning, the roof
Would be re-coated with a special coating that would last 15 Years and the cost would
Be £1600.

A few days later I agreed to go ahead with the work, on Friday 21st Nov 2014 they
Attended my property and started the work, however it could not be completed on
The Friday and I was advised that they would return on Monday 24th to complete it.
On Friday 21st Nov we received a phone call from Gcs requesting half of the agreed
Payment, even though we were advised initially that payment would not be required
Until we were invoiced after the work was completed, they were requesting cash,
So I paid them £800 by Bank Transfer on the 21st Nov 2014.
They returned on Monday 24th Nov to complete the work, both myself and my
Husband had to go to work and could not be at home, we received a phone call on
Monday afternoon confirming the work had been completed.
On Tuesday 25th Nov, we received another call requesting the remainder of the
Payment and were asked if we were satisfied with the work, we confirmed at the time
That as we both work full time and its was dark in the morning when we left for work
And dark when we returned home, that we were unable to confirm that the work had
Done satisfactory until the weekend, so we paid the remainder £800 in good faith.
At the weekend my husband checked the roof only to find that the tiles at the back of
The house had not been secured and the roof coating was all patchy, he got straight onto
Gcs and complained and text through photos as proof, they were very apologetic and
Assured us that this would be resolved, the following week.
Over the next two weeks we contacted them constantly, not once did they return any
Of our phone calls, but made promises to return to our property to rectify the problem.
They then stopped taking our calls.
On the 15th Dec 2014 and after contacting Gcs over 50 times either by phone or email,
I posted a complaint about them on Site Jabber and requested that they were notified,
On the 17th Dec I was contacted by email, explaining all of the reasons why they
Could not return, weather etc., and asked to remove the complaint, I did this in good faith
After promises that the situation would finally be resolved, as someone else form the.
Company was now dealing with our complaint.
Its now the end of March and I have still not had any concrete date from Gcs on returning to my property, only excuses, and now they are ignoring my emails.
Beware when engaging with this Company and do not part with any money until you are completely satisfied with the work they have done, or you could be left with a roof like mine which looks in a poorer state now than it was before.
