  • Gift Cash

4/7/22

I've used GiftCash to offload thousands of dollars in gift cards over the last year or so. At first, I was skeptical/cautious, so I started with only a couple orders, then, after some initial success, I started to sell more and more. I have gone as far as selling $4,000 worth of cards in one month and, so far, have had very few hiccups.
The one thing you have to do is BE PATIENT. Like REALLY REALLY PATIENT. The site says most transactions are processed between 5 and 15 business days of the order being made. The keyword here being MOST, not all. You will often see some orders get fulfilled and others stuck in the queue for several more days or even weeks.
However, this makes logical sense. Obviously, GiftCash requires cashflow in to pay it's sellers. If it shelled out the cash right away to everyone, they would find themselves in crippling debt. By staggering payouts, they are allowing themselves time to recoup expenditures by direct or indirect gift card sales. I have waited in excess of a month on a couple isolated occasions, but ultimately I was always paid out in full. PATIENCE IS KEY. If you need the money fast, look somewhere else, but if you can afford to wait, you will end up getting paid.

One big tip I have is to do all your orders individually (i. E. one gift card per order)
For large orders with multiple gift cards, I find that you may have to wait longer as GiftCash does not appear to offer partial payments and you will instead need to wait for all cards in your order to be processed before payment is dispensed. Smaller, individual orders seem to be processed more quickly or at least will provide smaller, but more frequent payouts while you wait.

Also, when making orders with numerous gift cards, I have occasionally encountered a bug which populates multiple gift cards with the same keyed in information. This glitch will overwrite previous entries if you try to correct it down your list. If this happens, you need to remove/zero out the affected cards in the order and try those again, separately. Another good reason to make multiple, small orders instead of a couple large ones, if you can.

Overall, pleased with GiftCash and will continue to work with them.
