I thought SpareFoot was great at first. The lady that helped me was incredibly kind, and seemed very helpful. Then, I got called by the manager at the storage facility I was planning to use, and was informed that my reservation was slightly unusual. I was told on SpareFoot that I could hold the unit for free for as long as needed, and I could go in to sign the paperwork and pay, whenever. The manager informed me that they usually do not hold units this long. After a confusing conversation, we decided I would go in to sign the paperwork on the same day anyway, and clear up some confusion. When I went in, they then informed me that almost no information I was told on SpareFoot was correct, and I could only sign the paperwork and pay if I was starting my rent that day. Although some of this was the individual company's fault, if SpareFoot had not given me faulty information, I could have avoided much confusion and stress. SpareFoot can be helpful to find places, but just call the company individually to save yourself time and frustration.
