At the start of the pandemic I had more than enough time on my hands to to focus on things I normally didn't have much time for. Namely, my skin.

Sure, I'd slap on a facial every now and again, but not with any regularity, to be honest. Instead of looking for the next great product to try, I went searching for a skincare app.

I tried a few apps over the years including a couple that included a face-scanner feature to analyze texture, but quickly got frustrated. When I came across Skincare Routine, I stopped searching.

The app is so simple to use but has an abundance of features designed better than I've seen before.

Of course, you can inventory your products with photos, ingredients, times of day to use, etc. The plus is, the app will warn you about what products conflict with each other. For instance, if you use an exfoliant, you may want to skip the AHA toner for sensitive skin.

Another favorite feature is the ability to print or share a routine. You can even select the background color and everything you did that morning (or night) is picture perfect and ready to share!

My favorite feature is the photo diary. Even when I can't see the improvements in the mirror day by day, all I have to do is flip through my diary and see how my skin looked a month or 2 ago. I don't take cute selfies. I get closeups, right to the pores! No one else is gonna see those pics!

I'm so obsessed that I've added my Facial Flex workouts, body wash, neti pot, nutritional supplements and hand scrubbing to my routine. Have you ever had a focused routine for your hands? Me neither! Beauty isn't just skin deep. If it has to do with beauty and my body, it's in the app.

It's genuinely satisfying not having to think about what to do when. When I'm in front of my vanity, my iPad is right there with me.

Although the app is inexpensive at just $3.99, I admit I wrote to the Chris, the developer, and told him how much I appreciate this app and how surprised I am that it isn't subscription-based. I've used several other apps and none come close. And the updates are frequent.

I don't have to try a bunch of apps once I find the one that works the way I live. This one is it!

Check it out!

Tip for consumers:
Don't be impatient. It's taken you years to get the complexion you see in the mirror right now. It's going to take a little time to get the improvements you seek.

Catalog the products you're currently using and take your first diary photo before you start so you can visually see the improvements over time!

I'm one of those people who loves data. My first favorite job was as a database Administrator at Guardian Life Insurance in New York in my late twenties. I loved being able to manipulate data to find actionable information.

I'm no different in my own life. Who doesn't have a Fitbit or other health device strapped on some part of the body? The thing is, how do we make that information actionable?

I've been using RescueTime for 2 years now. I KNOW when I'm most productive, I KNOW where I really spend my time.

During the pandemic I was diagnosed with bipolar 1 disorder. I've also lived with chronic insomnia since I was a kid. So between manic incidents with bipolar disorder and being awake with chronic insomnia at times, I wanted to know exactly what it was I was doing when I'm "thinking" I'm busy.

Well, I have the receipts, as Wendy Williams would say!

I was stressing to get my website content into play and now when I say, I spent DAYS working on it, I know I did. You can't argue with the data.

Having RescueTime has helped me navigate my most productive hours, and it halts me when I am being distracted by sites like... well, social media platforms that I shouldn't be on when I'm focusing.

I consider RescueTime a cost of living application. I can't see not using it at any point any time soon. It's valuable information for me to be my most productive professional self. #EAHWP

Tip for consumers:
If you've never tracked your time or progress before with another application, your first time setup instructions may be daunting. Don't worry! It's easy to set up and once you do it, RescueTime intuitively knows what sites are your productive sites and which ones help you slack off.

Since June 2021 I've been subscribing to RecurPost and I could not be happier!

I switched from Later because their main focus is Instagram and my top priorities are (currently) Twitter, Facebook (both business and personal profile) and sometimes LinkedIn.

Some of RecurPost's features still continue to surprise me. For instance, I deleted a bunch of libraries, and discovered I can very easily import hundreds of posts I've already posted on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. I can even filter which types of posts I want imported; those with images, text only, etc. which makes reposting a breeze.

The support team is second to none! Hands down, they win. They're just as friendly as the first day I came aboard.

RecurPost is a small but stealthy team and they know their stuff. They offer video call onboarding which I took advantage of. They make you feel like the CEO of Everything!

Occasionally, I make a suggestion, like about a notification pop-up that doesn't go away on it's own, and voila! A few days later, it's done.

Even better, while many don't like to talk money, Later has just increased their price to $500 a year. I'm paying $250 a year for RecurPost and I'm getting more features and pleasant, timely support than Later ever gave me. Unfortunately, my subscriptions have overlapped and I still have Later for a few more months. I DON'T CARE.

I haven't used it since. In less time, I get more done with RecurPost on all platforms.

Give them a try. You will be pleasantly surprised!

Tip for consumers:
Take advantage of their video onboarding call. Who offers that at reasonable prices. They really make you feel like the CEO of Everything. They want you to know how to best use their tool to address your specific goals.

Wow! All these years I somehow missed the pho bandwagon. Someone in my building had mentioned this place about a year ago and I finally ordered pork pho and a combination rice platter with beef and shrimp.

I cannot believe how delicious it was! The broth is so hearty it's a meal in itself. The second time I ordered, (yesterday) I decided to walk in just so I could tell them in person how impressed I was! The woman was so kind and I waited outside on a bench for my order. She brought it out to me when it was ready.

And the bonus is they're open for dining inside so even though it's not large, it's perfect for an afternoon of people watching while enjoying a tasty meal.

Tip for consumers:
This little gem stays packed around lunch time, any day, so plan ahead if you're in a rush. Call or order online for pickup!
