Attempted to calculate calories in a recipe using the Very Well Fit calculator. An 8 ounce chicken breast came in at 912 calories. Makes you wonder how much incorrect information they give out.

  • Evite

I used Evite to send invitations to our annual Christmas party. After the party, we decided to send a "Thank You" to our guests. At the END of the Evite thank you order, Evite said that the "individual purchase" would be $1.99. No big deal! What Evite failed to mention (intentionally of course) was that the cost was $1.99 PER RECIPIENT! $240 later I was surprised that Evite would stoop to such a low level scam.

Evite is simply TERRIBLE!

For the past three years I used Evite to send invitations for an annual Christmas party. Every year Evite would incorporate my guest list into this year's invitation. Until this year. Out of a guest list of approximately 140 different email addresses, Evite incorporated only about 20. The rest... simply gone. So I contacted Evite by email for assistance. Their response? None. Wow. At least respond. But, what would you expect from a free service that has gotten dozens of bad reviews online. My solution? Contact their advertisers. Hit them in the pocket. That's obviously all Evite staff cares about.

  • Spectrum

Spectrum internet service (I use "service" broadly) has become untenable. Their price for internet service has skyrocketed. But their service has declined. The service outages have increased in frequency and take place almost every heavy rain, high winds or even during perfectly normal weather conditions. Service always goes out during any active weather condition. And, like so many mega companies, once Spectrum has you as a customer, they couldn't care less about your service. Look for an alternative. I am.

Spectrum is in our neighborhood (man name Olumide) selling Spectrum services. Just a warning... the price and services quoted are not what you will get. We switched from Direct TV to save approximately $50 per month. However, with final installation we save only $20 per month. We were supposed to get 4 TV boxes included in our package but only received 1 for the price quoted. All said and done we are paying approximately $30 a month more than initially quoted. We will probably switch back to Direct TV or another provider. Just a word of caution.

  • ESPN

9/6/23

ESPN has done it again…another terrible show, that is. "Unsportsmanlike" is on the air and, omg, it's absolutely horrible! ESPN, in its effort to be PC compliant, has once again ignored excellence. These 3 hosts have no chemistry, no original thought, and no information. This show is just hot air. Typical of ESPN, it's style over substance. Which explains why the ESPN audience and numbers are plummeting.

  • Lowe's

I bought an artificial Christmas tree from Lowes. Great price…and no shipping fee! Great! Not so fast. Discovered later that the free shipping did not apply to the discounted price. Paid $80 in shipping! The old scam…discount the price and quadruple the shipping.

  • Reddit

Reddit has become a forum for the left-wing agenda. Reading the posts is alarming. These conspiracy-driven leftists have the depth of a child. I have never read more shallow, fact-absent posts as posted on this rag.

  • OpenTable

3/27/22

Reserved a restaurant on OpenTable. Later attempted to "Cancel" the reservation. Got a "Thank you for confirming" message from OT. Tried again. Same result. Later received a message regarding my failure to appear for the reservation. Sigh. Obviously OT has a glitch. Regardless, next time I'll bypass OT and call or message the restaurant direct. OT is supposed to be a convenience app, not a hassle.

  • MDLIVE

12/31/21

SCAM! MDLive is a scam! I waited for 8 hours on 12/30/21 for a call that was supposed to be within 3 hours. Never came. When I called them, they apologized and scheduled a call for 8:30 AM on 12/31/21. Never came. When I called them on 12/31/21 saying I never received the scheduled call, they said all they could do was put me back in the call rotation. Obviously, they were never going to call. They took my money up front, but never provided a service. Beware of this scam!

  • Collage

Collage sent out an email promoting their deep discounts on personalized Christmas ornaments. Sounds good. A nice family ornament to preserve the year. I got through the entire process to checkout when I found the SCAM…shipping. $35 to ship an ornament (not express, incidentally) that weighs a few ounces. Gee, thanks for nothing, Collage.

  • Medicaresearcher

Beware of MedicareSearcher.com! This "company" is nothing but a third party marketing scheme to generate leads for other companies. They generate these leads using spam email campaigns. The companies they work for are fully aware of MS.com spam campaigns. So why would anyone trust these companies?! Avoid using any company that uses such tactics.

Homelight is a company routinely engaging in spam tactics. Their email campaign targets uninterested individuals and have an unresponsive email themselves preventing recipients from protesting. RUN from companies engaging in such tactics.

  • MyFitnessPal

9/11/18

I have used My Fitness Pal for several years and it has served me well. That being said, recent "improvements" (according to the developers) to the ap haven't actually improved it. It's a bit more cumbersome now and is, well, clunky. Again, for a free ap, it does the job. My only WARNING would be to carefully monitor the calories/nutritional information members add. It is often INCORRECT. If nutrition is important to you, this can be an issue. For example, I looked up nutritional information of a popular coffee chain Chi Tea Latte. A member had logged it in at 10g carbohydrates. Not bad! Until I looked at the website of the coffee chain and found the drink was actually 45g of carbohydrates. Drastic difference! Just saying, be careful of accepting any nutritional information on My Fitness Pal.
