As an independent researcher not affiliated with any institution, it is very hard to get access to research libraries online. Questia was a godsend. I was a subscriber for 10 years and it was worth every penny.

Now they've shut down, and as I search online for access to the hundreds of volumes I'd used over the years on Questia, it is so disappointing. All other sites either want to sell the books to me, or to tell me that they have them, but because I'm not a university student or teacher, I can't access them.

Questia filled a unique niche, and I'm at loose ends trying to find a replacement resource. Questia, please come back!
