I've been pestering the hell out of Oldies the past month or so with orders of $4.98 CD's or other pare-off-prices deals, or at free shipping times, and so far they've come through almost every time. (And I utilize my debit card connected to my bank account, not PayPal, which could make a difference). When there was any issue (as one early order had been sitting there "in process") I used the toll-free number & almost always was lucky enough to snag a courteous representative who assisted with a various problem & followed through. I do get the impression sometimes of busyness, logically enough.
Packages are always fortified with bubble-wrap to keep contents from doing the Macarena inside en route. Only a few cracked CD cases, and so far, all CDs in working condition (out of like 200 I've pestered them for!).
"Bernie" recently mentioned that one of my no-shows would be back-ordered & sent separately, after noticing weird figures on my bank statement (usually the entire total, or total sans 1 or 2 fly-by-nights, is represented, but with one recent particular order, charged figures were split apart, and there was also a refund figure. Seeing this 4-1-1 is another advantage of utilizing a bank account).
Two orders from late last week (and stuff doesn't generally get moved around during weekends) totalling like 45 or so CDs have already been indicated via email as having been shipped (Tuesday). Somewhat early I suppose, but I can watch my bank numbers, and hope for the contentment of investing in a site that treats a good but maniacal customer truly.
