I read several reviews saying Laura Martin, the manager of Roland and Martin is rude and on April 25,2022, I witnessed it firsthand. When she finally returned my calls, I had been speaking to several people at Crooked Hook RV Resort, where my husband and I reside. I put my phone on speaker so that everyone heard her yelling, full of rage and attacking.

Screaming she has three children to take care of and doesn't have time for this; and shouting don't come by here again we don't want to see you; is not the way to run a business. I thought that she'd be interested hearing how her staff was incompetent. Instead she refused to listen to what I tried to say. Obviously she is in over her head, by raising three children and managing Roland Martin. It would be in her best interest to hire a manager that could actually supervise the premises. All of the people I was with, were astounded by her rudeness and vowed to never go back to Roland Martin again.

Truthfully, I was surprised that I gotten a response. How could I expect a response, when apparently Laura was dodging me? We have already told many of residents of our horrible experience at the Tiki Bar, and will continue to tell others. Her phone call maked Laura look even worse.

On April 21, we went to the Tiki Bar. For an appetizer, we ordered quesadillas. My husband requested the captains plate. I asked for the gator tail. Three times I told the waiter to bring lemon instead of cocktail sauce. Also we wanted him to bring drinks with our meal.

After 45 minutes a different server brought our dinner. Unfortunately mine came with cocktail sauce and not lemon! The server was puzzled when I said I wanted lemon not cocktail sauce. Also, I told him we didn't receive our drinks or appetizer. Communication between waiters and servers seems nonexistent. Our food became cold. Unexpectedly, our appetizer, served by a child approximately 12 years old then came. Our drinks never did come!

Finally the original waiter returned! We informed him about our situation. Instead of being apologetic, and trying to rectify it, he was quite irked and replied it wasn't his fault. He claimed to have informed the cook. The cook made the mistake. We told him about the appetizer, coming after the dinner, and that the drinks never came. He said in a nasty tone, that we wanted our drinks with the food. This didn't make sense since the food was sitting there for quite awhile! I was so upset that said I felt like leaving. The waiter responded that he would immediately remove our plates. We asked to speak to the manager. We were told that the manager was not there.

Apparently Laura, is rarely on there. I called the following morning, April 22, and spoke to Naomi. She informed me Laura was not in. We went in person to the following day. Kelly said Laura was not in and that I should call on Monday. On Monday, I spoke to Audrey who told me Laura was not in. None of the employees knew when she would be in. However they all took my name, phone number, the reason that I was contacting her and put it on Laura's desk. What kind of manager is never in and when she does occasionally return phone calls, her attitude is abrupt and highly unprofessional? No wonder the service at Roland Martin is so problematic!

Obviously we will never go to Roland Martin again. They are plenty of other restaurants in the vicinity that would be happy to have our business. In addition I unsubscribed from their newsletter.

We left without touching any of the food. We ate at Sunrise, a lovely Mexican restaurant. The food was delicious. Our waiter was attentive and professional. We plan on going back to Sunrise fairly often.

Tip for consumers:
The staff do not communicate with each other, and do not pay attention to customer needs. The owner/manager is inefficient, rude, has other priorities rather than managing her restaurant, and is hardly there.

Even though Ace Hardware does not regularly send its customers a request for feedback, my wife and I felt we had to give Jeffrey at the Clewiston Florida location, the credit he deserves. He is an exemplary employee, who goes out of his way to help the customers. He walked us through the entire process of repairing a rotted ceiling plank, and made sure we had all of the necessary materials and tools to do the repair. In fact he went as far as drawing pictures to illustrate the steps needed in the repair process. Jeffrey thoroughly answered all of our questions. He was patient, polite, extremely knowledgeable, dedicated and cares about his customers. He is a terrific asset to Ace Hardware.

Tip for consumers:
When visiting ace hardware in Clewiston, ask for Jeffrey.
