I love Lycogel's Foundation! - In the past, I have been a loyal user of mineral powder make up. THEN I tried Lycogel foundation. I have now switched to being a loyal Lycogel fan. The coverage is great, it is not overly drying on my skin, and I feel like my skin is looking better overall since I started using it. The website tells you about the science of the products and has some great before/after photos to give you an idea of the coverage.

They also make a foundation for acne prone skin with salicylic acid and concealers (blue and yellow). I have tried the concealers and I thought they had very, very good coverage, but were too heavy for my under eye area alone. I just mixed a little with my eye cream to thin it out a bit and make it go on more easily.

Skin Medica is affordable and effective for many different skin types - I love the Skin Medica Facial Cleanser and Environmental Defense Sunscreen SPF 30. They are really quality products that are not outrageously expensive so they are great for everyday use. The cleanser is perfect for removing make up well, but it did not dry out my skin at all.

The sunscreen has green tea and caffeine for antioxidant protection and is a full spectrum physical sunblock, so it protects from UVA and UVB rays (which my dermotologist says is essential for preventing sun damage). And it does it without those icky chemical sunscreens!

  • OBAGI

Obagi for sun damaged skin - I have seen the benefits firsthand of a heavily sun damaged friend who used the NuDerm system and after only a couple of months his skin looked brilliant and clear. (He then went for a photofacial and is looking a good 15 years younger.) After seeing his results I would like to try this system for my hyper pigmentation and to minimize my pores. It is pricey though, and you have to get it through your dermatologist. But they also have a great sunscreen called Healthy Skin Protection that goes on really nicely and blends well on my face. Until I can get the NuDerm, I'll just have to protect from any further damage!

  • Neocutis

PSP for younger looking skin - The technology behind this skincare line is amazing. All of the Neocutis products have human growth factor in them and I think that is why they are a little costly. But the results are great and my skin feels so supple and smooth. I love the light consistency of the Lumiere eye cream; it is neither too heavy or too light, and it seems to have light reflectors to give immediate reduction of the appearance of dark circles.

The website will guide you through their product technology stuff, but you have to purchase from a physician.

  • Glytone

Glycolic acid for rejuvenating and retexturizing - Glytone products are formulated with high levels of glycolic acid, which is proven to exfoliate the skin and can make marked improvement in the texture of the skin and slow the aging process. The website can tell you all about the different products they offer, but you have to get them from a derm.

  • Avene

Avene products are the best for my husband's sensitive skin! - My husband has had issues with his sensitive skin for years and the Avene products really seem to work wonders on his redness and dryness. All of the products are gentle and effective without harsh chemicals and fragrances, and his complexion is noticeably less blotchy than before. (I do have to remind him to use it sometimes, though!) Oh, and I love their firming gel... I think it is called HAF Retrinal. I use it around my crow's feet and lips and I love the way it goes on. I put it on at night and I am starting to see some results.

I would highly recommend these products to anyone who has sensitive skin.
