Really poor communications from this place, which I've experienced on a few occasions now. Either they don't reply to emails at all, or you get a part-reply with no follow up. I've emailed them about a bass build in the past - ignored. Some repair work - no follow up. A bass I wanted to buy - zero website information, with the ever-present 'information to follow' on most instruments, and no sale. Waste of time...

We've used the Scottish SPCA many times and the call-out staff have usually been friendly, personable people. Today we made a call for an injured bird to be collected and the male staff member who came out to the house really lacked people skills. Verging on rude in his attitude on the phone, after he came out he walked away from us with the injured bird without even saying goodbye.

Most of the animals we've had collected by SPCA have also been euthanised, even when they seemed to have a fighting chance. I don't now what their kill policy is, but they seem to put down the majority of animals we've given to them.

I've spent the last 2 months emailing Mason and White in an effort to get them to honour a warranty on an item I bought. Two whole months and they still haven't replaced the item. I was offered a refund yesterday and today they're repeating what they told me two months ago - that they can't give me a refund unless it's via Amazon. Amazon have no interest in this as the warranty is with M and W, not Amazon. How many more months have to be wasted before M and W are willing to replace a salt and pepper grinder set? Unbelievable.

No replies to emails enquiring about renewals. The energy tariff goes up every year and when you ask them to discuss it with you it's a 2-4 week wait, meanwhile the renewal date elapses in the time you wait for them to reply. It's either a cheap tactic to force you to renew, or abysmal response time. Either way, I'm looking for a better energy billing service, which is all these companies are: they don't actually supply you energy.

I've tried for weeks to contact this company and get an explanation as to why they haven't sent my order. No reply to emails, no way of leaving a voice message, no answer to the phone line. I've now been forced to complain to my credit card company to try to get my money back. Disgraceful customer service.

Abysmal website and service. I finally pressed the button on an item worth £2700 only for it to then show as discontinued. It was showing as '1 in stock, order now for delivery Friday'. I called them and after a wait in the queue and having to repeat my explanation twice to a disinterested girl on the end of the phone was told that 'someone must have tried to buy it at exactly the same time'. The item was. On their website for weeks. No effort to look the item up and double check by the staff member in question, who just didn't seem interested in customer service. I won't be using Bax again,

Don't trust the website stock details - the item you pay for may not be in stock even if the website says it is

Very impressed with the speed at which Moto Central Ltd processed my order. I literally ordered an item yesterday and it arrived today. This was following a fiasco I had with a well known motorcycle gear website that wanted me to wait two weeks for the same item. I'll be using Moto Central again.

Time-wasting experience of ordering items from Getgeared's website that they don't actually have in stock. If only they would be upfront about this on their website, it would at least give customers the option of waiting, or shopping from another company.

I used to think Trustpilot was an honest review site, until I discovered many of my legitimate reviews were being deleted. I'd provide evidence to their compliance team and they wouldn't reply. myhermes.co.uk is an example of a courier company in the UK who have the worst track record of any courier (ref: BBC Watchdog). Yet on Trustpilot 3 of my Hermes reviews were deleted without justification. Hermes have a 4.4 out of 5 rating on Trustpilot, and when you look at other review sites, Hermes actual ratings are abysmal, as one would expect from a company the general public finds lacking.

Trustpilot is rigged, and it's clear that there is a profit motive somewhere. Disgraceful.

Tip for consumers:
Don't rely on Trustpilot as an accurate or honest gauge of public opinion. They clearly manipulate a company's public profile depending on how much Trutpilot gains from them. Trustpilot also deletes some percentage of public criticism of itself, as evinced by comparing reviews of Trustpilot across different review sites.

I've changed my original review of Aiteck as they have now refunded me. I read several reviews saying this company was a Scam and my communications with them after I cancelled my order certainly left me with zero confidence in them. This plus the fact that the address listed on their website is a residential house address.

I don't know whether Aiteck.co.uk is a legitimate business or a fraudulent one. All I know is they gave me a refund today and so all is fine as far as I'm concerned. Getting the refund was stressful however. Customers would be wise to be very careful in dealing with this company until they are absolutely sure.

Be extremely cautious when dealing with this company as I am not certain they are legitimate

I've written countless emails to Google Business support and I've been sent the same email reply each time. At first I thought it was a bot replying, but there were variations in phrases and names and I eventually concluded - after a dozen emails - that the people working at Google Business don't speak English as a first language. My questions were continually ignored. Even making a complaint was met with the same email response. Shocking service from a company whose profits are obscene.

I reported a theft by Hermes couriers to IRC Devon and Cornwall Police. The initial officer conducting triage on online reports was a human being: empathic and with her heart in the right place concerning the pursuit of justice. Once the complaint reached the IRC team it was stopped. D and C police decided to settle for Hermes' 'it's lost' explanation, even though the item (value the best part of £1000) was in the possession of the Hermes driver and listed as 'not delivered, damaged' and thus viable lines of enquiry were possible.

If you check Hermes reviews it becomes obvious that there is widespread theft of property entrusted to that courier across the UK and Europe. Property doesn't fall down a big hole somewhere. It is stolen by Hermes staff. Sadly, Devon and Cornwall Police (and presumably the Chief Constable of that force) are content to turn a blind eye to widespread theft and, by extension, massive, annual insurance fraud.

When the Police become administrators more interested in statistics and clearing their desks than the pursuit of justice then we are well on our way to a society founded on profit and self-interest, not one founded on care for fellow citizens.

Hermes UK aka Parcelnet are by far the worst of the worst in courier services. I've been through a new level of hell with this company and discovered a level of obstructiveness, disinterest and collusion with what appears to be widespread theft within Hermes. My parcel (value £760) was in the hands of the driver and out for delivery one minute, and then marked 'lost' the next. Hours and hours of my time has been spent chasing Hermes, from the robotic lackey at the bottom to Marijn de Lange, CEO at the top. None of them were interested. I've since made a complaint to Police and when you look at the negative reviews from the UK public up and down the country, people are reporting the same 'lost' items, items that the driver claims were delivered but were not, and other evidence of widespread theft. This level of theft is supported by Hermes executive, who could not care less about their responsibilities to the public, judging by the obstructiveness of their responses to my emails. All I've tried to do is find out what the driver's explanation is of how he managed to lose my parcel when it was in his possession for delivery.

If you are wise, avoid Hermes and Parcelnet (who own Hermes) like the plague. Otherwise you are entrusting your property to a company of thieves confident that they will have to face no real consequences.

PS. The final conclusion to this story. Here is a direct quote from correspondence received from Hermes Executive Office:

"Please be advised a thorough investigation has been completed and the item was damaged and in no condition to be delivered and the parcel was destroyed."

I've spent a month trying to find a parcel that I booked via Parcel2Go. I'll NEVER use them again for the fact that they've done nothing but get in the way of any real, common sense enquiry into the whereabouts of my missing parcel. I've lost £760 by using this company and the cowboy courier whose service I booked via Parcel2Go. Avoid them like the plague.

Tip for consumers:
Parcel2Go do not honour insurance claims. They will sell you insurance but you are unlikely to be compensated - they simply keep ignoring requests to honour insurance cover.

I've stopped buying items from businesses who use Hermes UK (aka Parcelnet) as I've had nothing but problems with this courier. From start to finish, it has to be the worst courier service in the world. They've lost expensive items of mine, so rather than continue to give them my money I avoid sellers who use them as much as I can.
