I am not a business owner, just a consumer. I thought this site was a great idea when I first found it, but it seems they have a hidden agenda that filters out many reviews, good and bad. I have written several objective reviews of businesses that I have patronized that are just discarded, so I quit wasting my time. Because they only post the reviews that THEY decide are acceptable, I do not just them as a reliable source of information.

I had a couple of deployments in Iraq & Afghanistan, and these guys were a real blessing. I found good deals on many items that were hard for me to find otherwise, and shipping is fast & free on most orders. Many online retailers will not ship to military APO/FPO's overseas, but these guys do. Even back home. drugstore.com is a convenient way to get many things at a good price.

  • eBay

2/24/14

I used to buy & sell a lot of items on ebay, although I did more buying than selling. I rarely use the site anymore. The fees rose to the point where it was no longer practical for a "small" seller such as myself to sell on ebay because I was nearly giving the item away after ebay & paypal fees and shipping. I do not buy much any more from ebay because the vast majority of the items are "Buy it Now", which means in most cases it is not really an auction site; this took the fun out of it for me and made it more challenging to get a good deal. I rarely see a "buy it now" price that beats the price I can find elsewhere.

  • Amazon

You can find just about anything on Amazon, and usually at a very good price. The threshold for free shipping did go up from a $25 to a $35 purchase, but this is still a good deal, and I can usually fill out an order up to $35 with little trouble (you know... because they sell just about everything). The customer reviews are very helpful, and the layout of the site in general is terrific. But the best thing about Amazon is their customer service. It is very quick & easy to access, and they are great at fixing just about any problem you encounter.

  • Woot!

2/24/14

Woot is fine if you find a product you want, purchase it at a good price, and it arrives in good shape & in a reasonable period of time. This was my experience the first time I used them. The second time, the item arrived defective, and when I contacted Woot, they told me I was on my own. Their suggestion was I take my problem to the manufacturer. In light of the fact that they have zero customer support, I will not be using them again as it's just too risky.

Too hard to find what you want. Have to get through the weeds first. Pretty bad programming....
