I have 10 PCs here. All of those PCs had Corsair Power Supplies and coolers. Some had fan hubs and some had Corsair memory. Over the years I've had 14 of their AIO coolers fail within warranty period. In the early days I had a cell phone and getting a product replaced under warranty was easy. They would ship a new product and I would swap it over with the faulty one when it arrived. Generally shipping to me was 4-6 days. Great Service.
Then it all changed. They changed their policy to no phone no warranty. Not because they want your phone number, but because, as they argue, carriers cannot deliver items to a physical address, they can only deliver to a cell phone. As ridiculous as that sounds, that is their argument. I'm old. I've had hundreds of deliveries and never has a carrier refused a delivery just because I don't have a cell phone.
Obviously there's more to it but Corsair aren't being upfront. If you have a persons cell phone number that is a very powerful thing for tracking, profiling and advertising, but in my case, I just don't have one. I had an old Samsung Galaxy S6. It died. I lost my job when the scamdemic started and I can't afford a new phone. It's that simple.
Warranties are useless. Manufacturers know there are ways around them - Corsair is turning out to be a very disreputable company. I certainly won't be buying their products again. 14 AIO coolers dying in as little a 8 months from purchase is terrible product quality. It's not like it was a bad batch as these issues occurred over a 5 year period.
They did the same thing to me for a failed PSU a year ago.
