  • Malwarebytes

Malware (from the latin "mal", meaning bad) is a pain to find and get rid of. Malware Bytes is another free utility (you can buy a version if you want).

Lovely software you should have in your arsenal.

Besides the fact I have my own web site hosted there for free - educational purposes only - wetpaint is a great start for those of us who don't have time to code a lot of stuff. Just set up your stuff and it runs. You can even map your own domain to this site as well. Mine maps there and it's cool.

Cool web site.

  • CCleaner

Piriform is a great company with great software. Free disk defragmenter, free disk cleanup software, and others. I use the antispyware on ALL my computers. CCleaner will get rid of a lot of space junk that ends up on your hard drive - AND it will improve your computer's performance.

AWESOME.

  • Spybot Search Destroy

I have used Spybot for over 10 years. It is a great tool to have in my arsenal. It offers passive and active spyware protection for FREE. They ask for donations, but the donation is worth it. They also produce other types of software.

AWESOME program.

Thanks a lot for your review and for being a loyal customer for so long :)

Ever think you need more tools to combat spam and spyware? Get spyware blaster as it is free. Free is good. But if you want the more deluxe version with auto updates, you will have to cough up some scrilla. But for free it has no limitations and all you have to do is check for regular updates.

Do you give PowerPoint presentations? If you do, you may have grown tired of the MS plain vanilla wrappers.

Here is a site that offers templates for FREE. Try it and you'll expand your horizons. Very cool.

  • Academic Superstore

Are you a student? Do you teach? If you are either of these, you may be eligible for a huge break on software like MS Office, Windows 7, etc.

Before they can hook you up, you need to provide academic proof that you either work for a university, college, or K-12 place. If you qualify, you can get MS Office Professional for around $179.00. Is that sweet?

Of course it is.

  • BeachCamera

If I need a camera and ebay just won't cut it (lol), beach camera (in Florida) will hook you up. Their prices are competitive and their customer service is top notch (in my opinion). I have dealt with them for over 5 years and they have not disappointed me.

Search, find, buy!

Have you ever wanted to brush up on your HS math skills? Did you want to take a test in mathematics and need a refresher. This is an alternative you might like. For about 20 bucks a month, you can take online quizzes and progressive labs that are personalized to your needs. While it's not perfect, it is a decent alternative to heading out to adult school, no? Yes.

I don't even use this site because they advertise for the Temp Jobs in the area. Talk about major suck. By the time you've waded through the Robert Half Jobs, there's another load of "Temp jobs" from other agencies. Of course, some charge a fee. I do NOT recommend this site.

  • Hubblesite

If you want some "oooohhhh... aaaaahhh" in your life, visit this site. It has BIG FAT WALLPAPER pictures of the Universe as we see it through the lens with Hubble.

Check out the Hubble Site

  • HippoCampus

This is a GREAT web site full of resources, online textbooks (including math and statistics). It is a grant funded organization dedicated to education.

THEY ROCK.

  • AVAST Software

1/13/11

What's your favorite letter? ARRRRRR! Avast! Antivirus is really free. If you want the bells and whistles, it's cheap. Are you tired of Symantec and McAfee ignoring your plight and giving you nothing but software BLOAT?

Dude! Get it FREE at Avast!

  • Word.tips.net

1/13/11

This web site has an AWESOME collection of tips, tricks and workarounds for MS Word 97,2000, 2003, 2007 AND (AWESOME!) 2010.

You must use this site. You are going to use this site. :P

  • Monterey Bay Jobs

1/10/11

Of all the job search web sites that are regional, this is the most useful and user friendly. For the recruiter, the price is reasonable, considering you can get about 2,000 site hits in one day on a job you post. For the seeker, it's free and easy. Great site.

  • Purplemath

This is a cool web site that I like to use as a reference when teaching math. It has plain English rather than Math Speak. Cool site

  • Game Stop

Timmy the monkey is sweet! You should visit here when you shop for your friend, the geek. Why? It has the coolest selection evar of geek stuff. From Star Wars to Hardware. Yeah!

  • The Purdue Writing Lab

I love the Owl at Purdue. I use this site for referencing correct format, alignment, and different types of writing styles. I especially like it for business communication What a great site. Thanks to Purdue.

  • edHelper

This is a very good web site for educators needing resources to supplement their mathematics classes. I teach beginning through intermediate math and have found it such an invaluable resource, I subscribe to it for 50 bucks a year. Great site. Be better if it was free :P

  • Pricewatch

1/10/11

This is a great resource that will help you find the least expensive computer part, camera, or other electronics part you might need. It also has ratings of sellers of product so that you can read before you buy. A great site. I use the site regularly when I want to price items for Ebay, or when I really need that part that I can't find anywhere else.
