“Works perfectly, and it does not cost much.”

We use the mirror subscription which costs about $6 per year. Gixen says we use the service at our own risk, and that the software could fail. We have never noticed a failure in over 10 years of use. We have been outbid plenty of times, but that is part of the game. Well worth the cost.

Top Critical Review

“Worked for a day or so”

Worked just fine for one snipe before it would not take me back to my account, but directing to a page about mirror service. Not free. Not even close. Sitejabber suggests you can upload media, but that doesn't include animated gifs or video clips. So I can only post the screens I see on Gixens site.

We buy the mirror subscription which is priced very reasonably and it has worked every time as advertised. I recommend this program to anyone who is using ebay to buy even once in a while.

Simple, versatile and very powerful.
The free version allows 100% of the basic functionality. You can specify that your bid is made just in the last 3-4-6 seconds.
In addition, for a small amount of registration, you can access sophisticated group control tools and security servers.
I use it for years, it avoids me having to be aware of bids that end at dawn. Highly recommended.

I use Gixen since 2005 I guess, and since then I cleared my issues with eBay auctions bidding. I won much more items than before, at a lower price, as the system works fine, and safely. They worked so fine that now they made a nice agreement with eBay to make very easy to place bids by Gixen. The unique feature to have a mirror server is very useful and sometimes really saved my bids.

I have been using Gixen for almost a year. I find it to be a great sniping tool when bidding on ebay. I use it for every bid now. I import the watched items over to Gixen and place my bid. I never place a bid in ebay. My bids go in with 6 seconds to go and I win most of the items that I am bidding on. The cost is very reasonable as well. I will continue to use this service as long as it stays available. Never a problem with Gixen.

Tip for consumers:
It is easy to use and very helpful.

I used Gixen for a year or longer. I now use it more of less exclusively when bidding on eBay. Head and shoulders above the other eBay auction snipers that I've used.

4* rather 5" simply because logging in can sometimes take ages; and occasionally doesn't work at all. I'm a UK user and I don't if that has anything to do with it. This is more an annoyance rather than a real problem as once I've set my bid, I don't need to go back in to Gixen unless I want to edit it.

I loved this site so much I offered to finance the owner offering coupons to the users to encourage more to sign up.
I've never had a snipe fail. There are times I go "I can't believe someone didn't bid me up after that". The interface is simple, not flashy, and just plain works. The chrome plugin makes it easy to add snipes while browsing items on Ebay. I've been used this for YEARS and it has never let me down.

Gixen is the best - simples! I have been using it for years and have NEVER had any issues whatsoever. Log into the website, identify the item, set your bid and go to bed! Saved me £, 000's over the years (CCTV components just sniped saved over £1,000). I subscribe to the mirror service to ensure the service remains. Mario ensures the service works flawlessly and any problems are quickly sorted.

I've tried various sniping sites and this one is the best. Highly recommended. Saves me from watching the clock and often missing it. Attached are a couple of photos showing eBay auctions I have won with Gixen. Just go for it!

I stumbled upon Gixen and used it without cost a few times to win auctions. I've since donated for two years of mirrored service and am elated with the results. I've won about two dozen auctions since.

The first review of Gixen on this site speaks of malware and I have no clue what they are talking about--Gixen is a website and does not install any software.

Great site that I've accessed through desktop, laptop, and smartphone. I'm a believer.

I highly recommend Gixen as an auction service. I've had Auction Sniper in the past but found that I am more successful with Gixen. The cost of the service is well within reason than most of it's competitors and their customer service is right there to assist if you have any questions. Gixen is my auction sniper of choice. I also prefer the way they detail what you are bidding on within the site. Compared to others that I've done business with, I like this one the best

Gixen is second to none amongst Sniping services in both quality and value. The owner, Mario - a great guy who I've personally communicated with - is like a modern day Robin Hood in that he could charge much more for his service but instead opts for the "Glory!" God Bless him!
He offers his service for free (1 satellite) and only charges a nominal $6/year for an optional mirror satellite (which insures your bid is logged in the event the transmission to the first satellite is blocked).
I've been more than satisfied for over 10 years and will be a customer for life! Thank you, Mario!

I have been an eBay user for well over 10 years: started back in the day when it was almost all auctions, not as many fixed prices and identical items as you get now. I collect ceramics & glass, mostly European, and found auctions in US, UK or Europe finished at very late hours for me, I live in Australia.
When I tried Gixen, I liked it straight away. I used the free version for a couple of years, then decide to purchase Mirror even though I had never had an issue with the free service, but I like to encourage good service and am happy to pay a reasonable sum for what I get.
I use it less now that eBay has fewer auctions, but I am sure I am still getting a benefit for my subscription.

I've been wanting a specific Belleek diamond biscuit jar for a couple of years. A friend alerted me that one was offered on eBay. It was auction only (I always prefer buy it now). Anyway, I signed into Gixen and entered the top amount I was willing to pay. My bid was set at 6 seconds. I won the jar for 2/3 less than my top dollar, and received it well packaged from an excellent seller.

Gixen is truly the best auction sniper I ever used. The only auctions I failed to win were the ones on which I didn't bid high enough.

I subscribe to it, first because it is only fair and ethical to do so. The subscription also allows me to use the mirror system; it bids for me from 2 separate places at the same time and thus prevents any miss due to errors or snafus at eBay. The serious philatelist will subscribe to take advantage of the mirror system.

Gixen is astoundingly cheap. Other auction snipers I subscribed to in the past were far more expensive and couldn't deal with the "catchaps". They made me lose items I ought to have won. That never happened with Gixen.

The Gixen "dashboard" is clear, simple, very easy to use. One can increase or decrease a bid in under one minute. There's a good archive of former bids. The phone app is easy to install and works perfectly.

I am very grateful for Gixen. It has made my bidding on eBay a lot easier, more relax and efficient. I don't want to imagine what, for me, it would be like to do without Gixen.

My many thanks go to Mario, the founder, and his team. They constantly improve the program and provide a fabulous service for peanuts.

I started out with the free version (one server) and when it started winning for me, I decided to subscribe. Not that I bid that much, but what I bid on I want to win as affordable as possible. The prices are fair too. It seamlessly works with eBay itself, then there is also a standalone program outside of your browser which makes things easy to follow also. I highly recommend it.

I only occasionally use Ebay for competitive bidding items, but when I do, Gixen is my friend. The service is remarkably well designed, and while I might be outbid once in a while, Gixen gives me a highly flexible mechanism for sniping. It not only allows me to relax and let the automatic process work, I think it's likely I save 15 or 20 percent on average. I recommend Gixen highly.

It just works. I've bid on about ten items - not a lot, really - but there is a psychology on ebay that people will increase their bid if they're outbid, so if you have Gixen bid the most you're willing to pay, and it posts a couple seconds before the end of the auction, you will win more often than not. So, yeah. It works. I've never had one problem, and it's pretty easy to use.

Gixen has helped me make 10's of thousands of dollars over the years with effective auction snipes. The free service works great if you want to snipe a few auctions casually. The subscription cost is also less than 3 cents a day if you use the service frequently and comes with unlimited snipes, snipe server redundancy, logic to bid/not bid on groups of items depending if you won/lost bids in that group, and more. This is an insanely good bargain, and I would hands down recommend this to anyone looking to get into sniping too.

Tip for consumers:
Use the chrome addon to streamline item snipes, or the desktop app if that's your thing too!

I've been using Gixen for a few years now. It was always reliable and delivered great results for me. I now ALWAYS use it to buy on eBay.

Communications from the site owner are excellent WITHOUT spamming (at most a short, useful summary once a month).

The very low fee I paid (they provide also free tier) is well worth the extra cost and paid itself in spades many times over.

I actually did not want to write a review since I did not want to encourage more people to use the service since it would then enable them to snipe against my bids but after reviewing my thoughts and sense of fair play I would now like to let people know that I find this an invaluable service and it has helped me secure many a purchase. It is one of those smart software packages that makes ones life easier like LASTPASS and support is always close to hand. Very recommended.

This is the only way to go. I've used other bidding tools and they are no where near as reliable and effective as Gixen. The site platform developers are responsive to the client needs and do all they can to deliver a top-tier product. I encourage you, if you wish to continue using this service after trying it out, to ante up the few dollars that it will cost you to be a full member. You'll be surprised how fast you get back that small investment in terms of time and money savings!

Gixen is excellent. I does everything except decide how much you are willing to pay for something. Once you have made that decision and entered it into Gixen, close eBay and relax. Of those auctions in which I was not grossly outbid, Gixen has won me about 80%. I have gotten some really good deals. I would highly recommend it for anyone who bids on eBay auctions regularly.

I love Gixen and use it all the time. It is free but I use Gixen Mirror to keep the site going.
Gixen allows you to bid on eBay in the last few seconds and that way you can give it your best shot without running up the bids. Also if you change your mind you can easily edit or remove your bid.
I've used Gixen for years now and never had a problem. I had a question once and Mario answered right away!

Set your maximum price, forget about things, it tells you if and when you win. How easy is that! Well worth the extra for the affordable subscription to unlock the mirror and other features.
