“Hear USA Punta Gorda”

I was seen by Harry T. Dorsey for problems with my hearing. I have been in health care for over 40 years, and I wanted to praise the service and attention I received. Everything was explained clearly, and I left today with my new hearing aides. I don't usually leave reviews, but want to recommend the Punta Gorda office and their excellent staff. They made what could have been a stressful situation relaxed and enjoyable.

Everyone is very nice when you are buying their product but the real test comes when that product doesn't work reliably or won't work at all… I've having the same issue for the second time with 5 month old hearing aids. They just stop working and you have to sent them off for repair… what do you do while your "new" hearing aids are under repair? You have to go back to not hearing at all… No urgency or concern faulty products. Sorry you're SOL and be sure to make an appointment to tell us about the issues… To bad if your hearing aids are out all weekend so you walked in on a Monday. Tough luck being em back tomorrow or the next day when we have an appointment…. Worst service imaginable

Everyone is very nice when you are buying their product but the real test comes when that product doesn't work reliably or won't work at all… I've having the same issue for the second time with 5 month old hearing aids. They just stop working and you have to sent them off for repair… what do you do while your "new" hearing aids are under repair? I spent over $1000 dollars for a pair of hearing aids from this company, not including the $3000 they got from my insurance company. The left one has had to be repaired 4 times in the last 4 years. Needless to say, warranty has expired. Now I have to pay another 320 dollars for repair of the same left hearing aid. This is crap. Go to someone else. I would never use this company again.

Tip for consumers:
Dont buy into their process. They sell you these aids and dont give you the progamming to change them. Worthless 3000 dollars of crap.,

HearUSA closed its office in Eatontown NJ permanently without removing it from the corporate website or telephone contact information. Calls to the central HearUSA number went either unanswered or resulted in disconnects. The online chat line similarly was unresponsive. No convenient option is now available to me for Signia service so needless to say my next hear aid purchase will be than Signia's.

We set up an appointment with the Paola office about two and a half weeks ago. Provider went on vacation, instead, and no one from the office bothered to contact us to reschedule. Terrible customer service right at the start. I'd never purchase from this organization.

Tip for consumers:
Call before leaving home to confirm the appointment. They obviously don't bother.

The product doesn't work. There must be a better hearing aid. So far, these are useless. There have been problems from the beginning with 1) right ear not working. Took 6 weeks to get it back. 2) Wore aids to a restaurant and event, and they made no difference.

I paid over $ 6 K for hearing aids. I was told my hearing aids would last about 10 years, it has been 6 and never worked properly. Wanted to stream sound into my smart phone, found out that that would be an aditional $ 1 K. They will only give u two ear tips at a time, now they charge me $25.00 for those 2 ear tips. I have found them for $10. For 6 on Amazon. KEEP CLEAR OF HEAR USA, They are both horrible and over charge. I would have given them zero stars if I could have.

I wish that I could use more than 100 characters! Wesley and Aspen treated me with respect and thorough examination and report of findings even though they knew I would not be purchasing as mine are supplied by the VA. I found no short cuts in my exam or treatment. Service Driven Professionals!

The audiologist, Rebeca Kennedy, in Winter Haven, FL location was rude and had no desire to help me. From the very first moment she acted like I was bothering her. Brought me in the back, told me she hadn't had time to look at my chart, without offering to test my hearing stated that the hearing aids would be too expensive and did I really want to pay that. Said she had no time to look up an insurance code. She was mean, obnoxious, angry, and insulting. I will never recommend HearUSA to anyone, especially my community of 937 retired homeowners.

The audiologist that did my hearing test and recommended a hearing aid ($4000) was great, but just found out she left and HearUSA office in Fairfax, VA was closed down. I wonder why? I have been trying to contact HearUSA for more than a week now, using at least 3 phone numbers it provided, but to date, I could not reach out a live person even after waiting for 2 hours on the phone and have never received a call back response after leaving a voice mail. I am getting issues with my hearing aid and I'm getting desperate and frustrated not getting the benefits from a very expensive investment. I will not recommend this company. For a company engaged in improving listening of people, it does not listen to customer feedback. Horrible company...

I have been wearing hearing aids for years. The Hearing USA in Toms River Chana is terrific. Chana goes out of her way to assist you. I especially appreciate her attitude she said she would fix my problem within 12-24 hours and told me to email her to expedite my problem. I recommend them 100%

I would give this place a 5, Yeah right, a minus 5. I sent a hearing aid in for repair over a month ago and to date I still don't have it back. Every time I call to check on status, it's a different story. Always someone else's fault.

People never call back to give you information. Their little automated jingle is hilarious, "hearing care beyond compare". They even suggested I call my adjuster when it's their job to do that not mine. In order to get "anything" accomplished, that's exactly what I had to do. It was 2 weeks before the hearing aid was ever sent in because "someone forgot to send it". Every time I've had to deal with these people it's been a nightmare. Needless to say, once if ever, I get my hearing aid back, my next set of hearing aids will not be purchased from them, Don't go here for anything.

Purchased hearing aids at HEAR USA in Ocala RT 200 for over $3000 plus insurance, WORST condescending hearing aid ( specialist?) I have ever had to tolerate. When I told her there is a chirping noise when I chew, she says "then don't chew"! In the beginning of 3rd visit I asked if she could give me the circular inserts because they fit very comfortable vs the rectangular ones. She told me they don't have them. The 5th and final visit on Monday I will be returning them for a refund which my insurance company has agreed to. All of a sudden they have circular ear piece?

Sadly hear USA has deteriorated. Now the company in Southern California only sells its own hearing aid brand. That is Signia. Signia only offers rechargeable hearing aids which I am uncomfortable with. Also Signia has not worked for me in the past. In addition, they have changed their communication system and centralized it. Making it less user friendly. I can't call the office directly or even leave a message. Instead, I have to be on hold for over an hour in order to talk to someone. No one called me to make an appointment to pick up hearing aids. Instead they assign an appointment. I received a text 2 days before the appointment to confirm. I couldn't go to the appointment, so my opinion was to call to reschedule. Which brings me back to an hour or more wait. I need choices and a real person to talk to. Hear USA in Southern California does not seem to offer that.

Sitting next to someone on a bus I did not understand a word said

I have been wearing hearing aids for years. The Hearing USA guys in Montrose are terrific. Tyler goes out of his way to assist. I especially appreciate their 10-12 no appointment required time to drop in and fix little problems. I recommend them 100%.

Unfortunately most of the audiologists are trained mainly in Hear USA hearing aids. If you require another brand you
May be sent miles away to find a knowledgeable audiologist. My life style requires hearing aids that use disposable batter. The audiologists near me could only offer a hearing aid that would not cover my hearing loss. I finally found an audiologist who could order me another brand that is not pushed by Hear USA. I ordered the hearing aid in June, it is now November. I have left messages many times and when I do get a person l, I am told the audiologist will return my call. As of today, this has not occurred. I believe sadly Hear USA has become Hear USSR.

Tip for consumers:
I wish Kaiser did business with a better hearing aid provider. I feel stuck.

I sent in one of my hearing aids for A replacement in February, and of yet to have my hearing aid, I've made more than multiple calls to different offices here in Los Angeles, and have called Florida. My wife and my stepdaughter have also called. When you speak to someone they're very nice but in the meantime, since February, I have no hearing aid. I missed my son's vows at his wedding. I'm a physician and have a hard time hearing my patients and I've basically have been suffering and beyond frustrated with Hearing USA. All they have to do is send the hearing aid back to me and they just don't. They even make appointments for me to go to an office in Santa Monica California, there is no one there. I will now have to go to court to sue to get to be able to hear.Don't trust their Niceties on the phone. They are completely disorganized.

I was sent by Kaiser to this business. It is in Pasadena where I live. The people are nice enough but do not seem to want to take a lot of time to explain things. I am an older person and I think most of their clientele is the same. I sort of got the feeling I asked too many questions. Maybe because my appointments have been late afternoon and I should ask for an earlier appointment when the workers are not fatigued. I purchased hearing aids and also remotes for the aids. I spent over 4000$ total so my purchases were not inexpensive.

I had a problem with the hearing aids, he explained what I needed to do, to improve the performance, and how to help prevent the issue from happening again. He took the time to show and explain the problem and how to take steps to help prevent it from happening again. I was very satisfied with how he handled my situation. Joe Bellavance

I had my annual insurance-covered appointment to check my hearing with HearUSA employee Linda McVickers on Lincoln Ave, Chicago, on Nov. 11. Afterwards I had a couple of quick questions. By the end of December no one had returned my calls. Today the receptionist told me that Ms McVickers was not going to talk to me because she was too busy, and anyway I have normal hearing, so take my questions to a doctor. My questions do not require a doctor, they are in response to her hearing exam and her comments! No health care professional has ever treated me that way, including busy surgeons. In the meantime, my insurance company keeps leaving me messages to make sure to get my annual hearing test in by year's end. In speaking to them I learned that my annual exam with HearUSA has still not been reported to them! So both the insurance company and I have been wasting out time because of the lack of reporting. Obviously this office is only interested in selling hearing aids. A patient with relatively normal hearing is of no interest to them. AVOID--there are many other options in Chicago and I'll drive further to use them rather than return here.

Our first visit here and totally satisfied. I had qualms after reading some reviews. I went because it's the only place covered under our insurance. I ask Jordan Hayes the HAS what has caused the negative reviews. Firstly, they had a lot of turnover in employees (before he came) then they had a stable staff and Covid hit. The store was closed, but Corporate didn't put that in a voice mail. Customers thought calls weren't answered. Well, shame on them! For the past year they're open. Jordan spent over 90 minutes between the testing, fitting of aids and explaining and insuring we knew all about the aids, how they work, trying them on. Professional, patient and has been a specialist for over 10 years. No pressure, no trying to upsell. The physical space is immaculate which to me speaks of how the rest of the pratice is handled as well. Please, consider more recent reviews in your choice for hearing aids.

I have been an existing client at HEARUSA for almost 10 years. I just walked out of the HearUSA office and will be taking my business elsewhere once my hearing aid warranty expires in the next several months. I put up with having to bounce through 5 providers and 4 offices (all at least an hour away from my home) in 5 years due to audiologist turnover and office closings. I will not, however, tolerate the complete and utter disregard for the most basic of communication needs of your neediest clients. I am profoundly deaf and have been for 35+ years. While I wear hearing aids in both ears, I read lips as my primary form of communication. Face coverings are currently necessary given the public health and safety concern, and it has been no small struggle to communicate the last 9 months. The ONE place I feel I have an absolute right to expect face coverings that still allowed for me to read lips was my audiologist office. During my appointment today, neither the receptionist or Dr. Agulo was wearing a face covering that allowed me to read lips. I am especially disappointed with this being my first appointment with Dr. Agulo as a new audiologist to the Hoffman Estates office that she did not acquaint herself with my file to even attempt to address or discuss during my appointment. I was in shock. Shame on you, HEAR USA. Deaf people, especially profoundly deaf people, have been marginalized by society for decades. We deserve and demand more.
