I have been buying shoes from the Walking Co. For over 15 years. I still have and wear the first pair I bought from their store in Reno. This is a superior shoe company. Expensive? Sure is but after 15 years of wearing all the pairs I've bought from them superior is all that comes to mind.

If I get a credit, I'll order something else to use it up, but will never order from them again. I like Abeo, but not this much. Sorry the stores all closed because their on line business practices stink.

Sent me wrong merchandise. Many emails back and forth and photos of shoes. No customer service. They just want to keep your money with unethical business behavior. Wish I had read reviews here before doing business with them.

This is the worse company, do not do business with them!
My shoes i ordered were to big, want to return. Called them to no
Avail. I then emailed them and get an email response, we will be checking into it. Have not heard from them to answer my questions except I received an email to rate someone named Donnie that I never talked to or emailed, so I gave him a terrible review. I wish I read the review before I purchased the shoes! Stay away from this company!

I returned a pair of shoes that didn't fit. Once they received my item, I waited the stated amount of time for my return to be processed, but never heard anything. I called customer service and was told "sometimes you have to call to request to have your return processed," and that they would take care of it right then, but it may be another 14 days for my money to be credited back to my card, which they tried to blame on my bank. From the day they received my return to when I finally received my refund was more than a month.

Tip for consumers:
Nearly impossible to get your money back for a refund.

Ordered shoes over 3 weeks ago and still no arrival. No one can tell me when they will arrive although it's already too late for the wedding I bought them to wear. Waited over 30 min for someone in customer service to pick up and no one ever did. Have no idea if I will ever get my 3 pairs of shoes. Watch out.

Company refunded my order "at my request" (a lie—I never requested this), even though the shoe was still in stock. They just wanted me to pay for it at a $40 markup price. Ridiculous.

I ordered a pair of shoes and returned it for an exchange. 3 weeks has gone by and the exchange was never sent to me. I email to inquire and no one responded. I called and waited on hold for over an hour when the estimated time was 8 minutes. The Representative agreed to do a return of my funds less $10. When I disagreed with the refund amount the Representative began to laugh and say that I should have read the exchange policy. I will never buy from The Walking Company again.

This place is the worst for buying shoes. They lie about their easy return policy. They never have sizes needed, they make you pay to insure a safe delivery so it is NOT free, takes forever to get your items, sizes always wrong.

Tip for consumers:
DO NOT SHOP HERE! Shop Zappos or Amazon where they take care of customers. These people give lip service but do nothing to help you except process a label for returns. They're merchandise is also OLD and also OVER priced.

NON because 2 pairs of shoes had inaccurate descriptions and 2 times bigger than normal size (not an uncommon complaint on the website), they lie about free shipping and easy free returns (you have to pay to insure you GET your items) so had to use a credit because they would not give money back, spent 3 hours trying to find shoes on their slow website and found nothing in stock or that wasn't overpriced or per other sites, inaccurately described. So they have my money and waiting to buy orthopedic inserts "whenever they come back in stock" per the sales associate. First time LAST time!

I patiently waited for 3 pair of sandals - they finally sent an email that they were delivered. Clicked the fedex link to find they were delivered to someone else's house. Fedex was absolutely useless - telling me they had the gps location for them but refusing to go get them, tell me where they were so I could go get them, or give me any estimate at all of when they would deliver them. All this time, the Walking Co completely ignored my emails alerting them to the problem. It's been 3 days noe and not one word from them.
I told fedex to send the shoes back when they retrieve them and opened a dispute with my credit card company.
I will never wear abeo again - they are owned by The Walking Co. Tevas will do just fine, I ordered them yesterday on Amazon and they will be here tomorrow.

Ordered a pair of running shoes on 8/22/23... still haven't received them. It appears that paypal was my only option. I received an invoice from Richmond Towers International and a paypal confirmation email that someone named Patti Pastega got the money. Still no shoes. Big scam

I am disappointed with this product of shoes. The inside cushion part on both left and right shoes completely ripped causing painful blisters on the inside of my feet. I would not recommend someone buying these expensive shoes, I wish I could return them and get my money back or a new pair.

The inside cushion part that is supposed to bring comfort and protection to the heal completely ripped off causing me painful blisters on both the right and left shoe. The product was shipped on time and on schedule which was nice.

I bought a pair of orthotics for $79.00 from The Walking Company order "#WK-*******" after wearing them for a short time I realized they hurt my bunions. A return can only be done if the product is unused in original packaging. ( So keep that in mind) How can you know they will hurt without taking them out of the package. They are also made in China.

Beware when ordering from WalkindCo (The Walking Company). They advertise free shipping and easy returns. They add $2.95 to the order for route protection. If you return an item, there is a $10 fee for a return label.

Would you pay $13 for the privilege of trying on a pair of shoes in a shoe store?

I ordered sandals in June 4th, a label was created June 9th and still no further activity! The site states "shipping within 5-7 days". I have written and called and was told they could not give me an arrival date but credited my account for $20. I wanted to cancel the order and get a total refund but was told that was not possible! How ridiculous that they can credit and not refund.
Today I still have no confirmation of shipping and NO sandals.
Next step will be a call to credit card company to file a dispute.
Never again will I use this site!

I ordered some sandals to help with my plantar fasciitis. Bought the same size I always wear. They were way too big. I went online the same day to return them. Required to pay $10 for a return label. WalkingCo received my package but did not acknowledge it or credit the refund until I called. Refund should have been automatic upon receipt of the shoes. I guess I never would have received the money if I hadn't called.

Place an order and paid. The next day my order was cancelled but I did not receive a full refund. They should not take payment until an order is shipped. With exchange I ended up $10 short. They don't care.

I bought a pair of Maddie, size 7.5, but they were way too big, I reordered size 7, still too big so asked for a refund. I received a confirmation from walkingco to acknowledge the refund. After checking multiple times with my bank I never received the refund. Walkingco says it's my bank problem not their fault. This is very unprofessional and I will never order from this company again.

Last early July I received two pairs of shoes in different shipments. One box was very beat up. I tried on both shoes and they were way too wide so I couldn't even stand in them so I put them both back in their boxes and contacted the company. Since it was the first time I had ordered from them on line they gave me one label to shop both back together for free. I put them in the mail that same day. 6 weeks later I got a message that they are refunding me for the cheaper pair but not the $109.95 pair because they said "I had worn them". When I called them back and explained there must be a mistake because I did not wear them they just said that I did and refused to give my money back. I reported them to the BBB ( where there were many more complaints) and the company sent the shoes back to me ( which I can't wear and do not want). This is not the same company it used to be ( I have bought many shoes from the store of this name over the years but that store was sold to an investment company who obviously tries to dump trash shoes on someone and keeps your money). I have talked to other people from their company and they have all said the same thing… they are keeping my money because I wore the shoes!Do not buy from this company. Now I have stopped buying from most companies online unless I know they have good service and are honest with hood products.

Do not order from them. Not honest and have many bad experiences of poor shoe quality and money not being refunded

I have order from abeo for years. Have foot issues and the balboa flip-flop was the perfect solution. So figured the Maddie would be similar. Boy was I wrong!
Shoe was not even close to the picture of the one I ordered. Alittle big and the arch support is so different than my others I have ordered. I have them ready to return but after reading these reviews maybe I can make them work for around the house. At least I have my shoes if no return will be refunded. Will not purchase another shoe from this company

Despite contact re shipment of my shoes and a promise of delivery, still no $100 shoes weeks later. I hope they're not thieves. Do not order from this company. I think it's a ripoff scam. I wish I could rate with zero stars.

I ordered these shoes back in November, 2023. When I put them on and started walking in them, the skin of my big toe of my left foot was torn, and the infection is still healing. I ordered the correct size shoe, and there is no excuse for this.

Tip for consumers:
When my foot heals, I return the shoes to your King of Prussia Store.

I bought shoes and wanted to return; I had to buy their $10 label AND paid $22 to ship back to them! I will never shop w them again. Thats $32 just to return. Never again

Tip for consumers:
I will never shop here again and will tell family and friends. I had to buy a $10 return label and it cost me $22 to ship back! No customer would agree to do that! Horrible return policy and horrible customer service. Never again.

I used to shop at The Walking Company when they had brick and mortar stores. They were great. I have ordered a couple of times from there on line store and have found the quality to be sub par. I kept one pair of wedge sandles (iffy quality) and returned one of the same style, different color, because you could see the glue pulling away from the bottom of the shoe, poorly cut and poorly attached. A second order for a pair of sandles, AEBO, are obvious rejects as the heel strap gapes a good inch from my heel; the Velcro strap is pulled as tight as possible and still gapes hugely. I believe the on line store is not the same store they were in the malls. They must be purchasing bargain seconds that would never have made it into their stores. I am done with The Walking Company.

I purchased 3 pair of New Balance Rebels from TheWalkingco.com and they deliberately sent me wrong sized shoes and female shoe in male new balance box I paid $157.44 for 3 pair of New Balance Rebels They confirmed receipt of my request via assignment of request number ******* on Orders wk******* & wk*******. Devin Patterson emailed me. thewalkingco.com intentionally sent wrong sized shoes and female shoes in a male new balance box. I've contacted the company asking for a prepaid return shipping label and refund for their deliberate false advertising and fraudulent sales tactic by sending the wrong sized shoes and refusing to refund my account and pay for shipping on the return. I provided proof via pictures and via email and Devin Patterson confirmed receipt of the pictures. I've heard nothing afterwards. I even provided my phone number so they could call me. Nothing!

Your Desired Resolution:
$157.44 and if they want them returned a prepaid shipping label.

The company WalkingCo is at least 90 percent operating under the previous "owner" name "The Walking Company". The website (www.thewalkingcompany.com) is at the very least deceiving, misleading, and borders on fraud. They claim on the website "highly trained sales staff" but there are no actual store locations. When you order they automatically add shipping protection which is called "Route Package Protection" - you will only find out once you receive the order confirmation. They promise "Easy Returns" which is far from the truth and use email addresses that don't exist (*******@happyreturns.com):

"Before starting your return, please review our full return policy below... Before Starting your return, make sure you've read our return policy completely. Returns that do not adhere to our policy will be rejected. Please visit: https://www.thewalkingcompany.com/returns. By using our online system, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the terms outlined on this page.

If you purchase your own return label you are responsible for the return shipping costs. We recommend that you insure your package for the full value of the merchandise; WallkingCo isn't responsible for any lost packages...
There is no charge for items that are being exchanged through mail or a Happy Returns location... All items must be returned in the original box/packaging and placed inside a shipping box. Any damage to the original shoe box (tape, shipping labels, or markings) will void any return and result in the items being returned to you. If you do not have the original shipping box or inner protective packaging, you can use any shipping box or inner packaging found at your local shipping carrier or package materials store...
