You should be able to hear the frequency but it should be very faint.

Nope, humans cannot hear the ultrasonic, in fact, neither can the animals. Ha ha ha :]

I don't hear mine but my dogs ears peak up so i know they are hearing it. I even cover the light and they stood right away attention

Yes I can answer this and I don't even have it.
If you read the description it tells you you could not hear it only animals can.
Lots of company's have many products out With ultrasonic sound and it's only for the animals to hear.
