How much can you get a shop to assemble the bikes for you if I do not want to do it myself? Are they as light as they claim?

Shop costs vary... 50 - $100 for assembly... Yes, I have found my bike to be right on the numbers as far as weight...

You need an assembly by shop. It costed me 90 bucks. But it was great. The bike is light.

To be honest with you, when you receive your bike you'll be amazed that it is almost put together for you, just pop on the front wheel, handlebars and seat. Only takes a couple minutes. Now with that being said, I would highly recommend you take it to your bike shop to have them look over everything to make sure it's up to snuff and to do a proper fitting for you, that's very important!

My local bike shops charge $30-$50 to assemble a shipped bike. We have a 13" 450HT, it is 30lbs. Email them about weight, they will respond with a general weight. The weights vary GREATLY depending on model/size/accessories.

You should expect to pay anywhere from $50-100 depending on where you are and how many bike shops are competing for your business. Hard to answer your second question because I don't know what bike you're looking at. What I can say is that the bikes are equal to what you'll pay more for at a bike shop. If you tell me specifically which model you're looking at I'd be able to look it up and give you my opinion on it.
