Answer:

I was scammed. When I returned for what I thought was going to be a cleaning, the dental tech. Measured my gums and the dentist tried to get me to sign up for a deep-cleaning program to prevent gum disease. I have NO gum problems, and never have! Then the dentist tried to convince me to get a $260 (my cost) anti-grinding guard. I got one at Walgreen's for $16.
