Hi Alex, Yes, you can certainly do that. Sign up for the 1-month free trial and try it out. If, within the 1-month period, you have decided you like what Playster has to offer and would like to commit to a year's membership, simply contact us on Facebook and we can upgrade your free trial membership to the Combo Box package. Jessica is correct it's a 12-month subscription, but after that time you can cancel it whenever you like and the tablet will be yours to keep. It's a Playster-branded tablet running Android, and it's completely open so you can use it however you like. Shipping is $9.95 to the US. Hope that helps!

Hi Christine! Here's a comprehensive step-by-step guide to Playster’s free trial and monthly subscription options. Hopefully it answers your questions! 1. When you join Playster, the first thing you do is choose your membership plan. You have three options: I) all 4 media types (movies, music, books & games) for $24.95 USD a month. Ii) a single media type subscription (movies OR music OR books OR games) for $9.95 per month. Iii) our new Playster Combo Box subscription, where you sign up for a 1-year subscription to Playster with all 4 media types and get a Playster-brand Android tablet and headphones that are yours to keep forever. 2. Once you’ve completed the sign-up process, your account is activated and you receive complimentary access to Playster for 30 days. If you don’t cancel within the first 30 days your free trial automatically updates to a premium membership in accordance with the plan you signed up for. The trial is free, but as with most subscription sites there's a temporary hold of $1.00 on your credit card to validate your identity and check that your card is valid. This is not a charge, and the amount is always refunded within 72 hours. 3. Once you’ve signed up for Playster your subscription will remain active until you choose to end it. You can cancel your subscription to Playster through our online cancellation page, or by phone, email, or contacting us through Facebook. Hi Miriam, unfortunately our content providers don't allow the downloading of titles to your MacBook. You can, however, download titles onto the Playster app and listen to them when you're offline via the Playster app. Hope that helps! Colin
