Question:

Is threadup a scam or a legit company?

Answer:

It may be "legit" but they have terrible business practices towards sellers. They will basically TAKE what you send in an not give you any credit for it, nor give you a good reason why it was not deemed "acceptable." They basically took a nearly new Longchamp purse (used ONCE-not my style) and tried saying it wasn't acceptable. Meanwhile, they have like 6 of them for sale on their site for $60.

I have sent a bag some time ago and have not heard a word. how will i know it was ever received?

Answer:

Same thing happened to me. Now they can't find it and want me to take a 35.00 credit. Just donate to good will. You will have less green.

Question:

I was going to try this, but i'm a little discouraged by the reviews i've read. should i even waste my time?

Answer:

Is it worth your time and money? Yes. However, don't spend much the first time. Order the ThreadUp Box. You'll get between 10 to 15 pieces based on your clothing and style options. If you like the pieces sent, keep it, If not, sent it back at no cost to you.
