Been a member for 3 years and anyone who gets banned has a long history of derailing topics or is an outright spammer. No one gets banned "by surprise". In fact, the moderators give folks TOO many chances..

No baggage, no grudge. Never been banned. Can post anywhere with ease until I go to USMessageboard and I'm hit with a wide variety of issues. To the point where I just give up and go elsewhere.

The site is fair for a msgbrd. You normally can say what you want as long as you follow zone posting rules. In the election seasons, the place turns into a free for all, which makes it lots of fun. Most of the mods are fine, one is OK, and one is insane.

If you have questions about the rules and reasons for banning, contact Flacaltenn, westwall, Kat or Coyote. They are the most helpful in explaining to me so I could understand what crosses the line. You can rejoin, but I suggest keeping in good contact with at least one mod you can ask questions of to resolve conflicts at first onset, well in advance before it gets so bad that threads have to be edited or anyone has to be banned. It is rarely permanent, most issues can be fixed unless it involves something illegal and/or threats of danger to users. Note: I am an active USMB member, used to be a Mod but had to stop around the time Harvey hit. I like working with the Mods and helping members fix problems so we can keep the community intact and diverse, and include all voices in harmony from left and right, the whole spectrum. No I'm not affiliated with the business but am a member and supporter of the board.

The site is a good place to post. There seem to be a lot of people who are scientists, some are market mavens and give very helpful advice. There are active threads on gardening, a coffee shop where no politics are allowed, so you can get to know the people you talk to about politics. There is a balance in the moderators. Some are left, some are right. They are allowed to say what they believe. That seems fair to me.

There is a mod that hunts men on that board for $$ or "pay my cell phone bill: etc. When she has sucked someone dry and has no more use for them she sends her hag crew after them to tear up their on board persona. She plays games with her mod powers, follows members in stealth mode via IP. She is a $#*!ing nut job!
