We bought a new cooktop to install after the kitchen remodel was complete. We kept the unopened box stored securely in the garage. When we opened the box, the cooktop was damaged and one of the grates was broken. AJ Madison refused to repair/replace stating that we should have opened the box on arrival to inspect the contents then re-packaged it. I know several builders who but appliances when the house is framed and store them in the garage for up to three months. Thumbs down on AJ Madison's customer service. The manufacturer, DACOR, did step up and replace the unit. DACOR is an upscale, expensive brand. Don't buy from AJ Madison.
