I have never had such a bad experience with a company. We had a tech from Allproappliance in SLC come out to clean our ice machine which is a $627.36 service call and should take under an hour. The tech broke not one but three parts of our machine. At one point he asks someone in our office if they had super glue so he can fix the broken part. This service took the tech 3 days to finish because we had to wait for two new parts and the repair. After they had finished, we used the ice machine a couple of times and then noticed water coming from underneath it. I immediately called them to let them know. I was first told that there is glue on the piece that was leaking so we must have damaged it. The "glue" was actually plumbers tape and when we took off the broken piece, the tape pulled through. We fixed this ourselves because we had already had such a bad experience with them and so far 3 things had been broken. When they pulled the machine out from the wall they didn't carefully lift the copper piece so this cracked the elbow part and caused the leak. I was told that the employee told me about the crack and I told him not to repair it. I'm not sure why I would have done that after our company spent 627.36 just to have the machine cleaned. He told me he had pictures of me holding the piece while the technician showed me the damage and I told him not to fix it. The picture was actually a picture I sent him of OUR employee holding the piece so we could show them what part was cracked. He was completely condescending to me and just kept telling me that his people wouldn't lie. The ice machine wasn't even cleaned properly and that's on me because I should have inspected to make sure that simple part of the process was done. They also fed the back hoses through incorrectly so had to leave the back cover off the machine. The manager offered no resolution and I finally said that I just called because with all the broken pieces and the bad experience and then having to fix the machine ourselves deserved an apology at the very least and it would have been great if he had offered $50 off the $627.36 bill. It wasn't until I said I was going to dispute the charges that he then offered to give me $6 for the piece our employee purchased and $21 dollars for his efforts. After being treated so very rudely by this manager I was given a snide "have a great day". An apology was never offered.
