Doesn't charge at the right voltage of 14.8. Only charges at 13.4-13.2. Doesn't had voltage for long drops into low 12 after a few minutes. That's without my music playing or my amps running.
They will not respond to me about a replacement repair or refund. Plus the alternator is only seven months old and I only drive three days aweek

Tip for consumers:
Do not order or waste your time. Apexhighoutputalternators are no good not worth it. Auto tech or Brand x is the place to go

I paid around $500 for a 370 amp alt from this company. As many of the other reviews state, I received the wrong alternator at first. Nicholas Starks resent another alternator and it was professionally installed. The "new" alternator only lasted a week and stopped charging while I was driving down the road. After paying a mechanic another $250 to put the OEM alt back on the truck I find that the Apex alt is blown and cracked on the rectifier. I shipped the package back to Nicholas and he states that it was dropped(not outside damage) or something happened as it couldn't have failed due to poor parts or craftsmanship. After emailing back for weeks he will not give me a reimbursement and I like the others got manipulated and stolen from. I hope someone sues him and gets what is due. Stay away from this company and do not do business with Nicholas Starks.

$434 alternator that was sold to me as "drop in, plug and play" does not plug in, nor does it even fit my car. The company will not respond, nor will they make good on the product. PayPal is not good. As they will not force a refund, what good are they.

In short…STAY AWAY. They will take your money, and not deliver what they say they do.

Tip for consumers:
Stay completely away

So I ordered a 350-360amp HO for my 2012 Ford Fusion. The wrong size came and wouldn't bolt up. I let him know and he had to do some digging but eventually he built the right size and housing for my application. It's now snug in my fusion and charging 2 XS 2500 huge batteries for my system. And it loves to charge them.
I had my battery light on briefly like a week. Then the ECU was able to learn.
I wasn't the happiest about the extra shipping charge, but he didn't make anything difficult and rebuilt a new alternator that fit perfect.
So 5 stars for his legit business practices.
For anyone else that has a tough time getting in contact with him.
Patients, persistence and professionalism.
I think he's just super busy. Many alternators and only him and another person running the business and only 24 hours in a day.
But he will respond asap.
Thanks for a great alternator.

It is extremely difficult to write a review of this company, its' products or personnel, as I am livid. I think of my experience here, and I just want to start swearing and wish I was the sort still able to deal violently with jerks. I am 70.
I had a class C RV in need of additional charging capacity, and I failed to search in my own neighborhood. I had seen this website for years; had corresponded with them, and never noticed that they no longer had a home address. Since then there are three addresses in three states, and they all proved to be dead ends.
I paid in advance for an alternator, and became nervous when the so-called lead time proved too long a wait in all reasonableness. There was a disclaimer on the invoice I paid, but everyone tries that nonsense, and it never dawned on me that they could deliver a product in unworkable condition, and I would not get serviced or refunded. I asked for but never received a return address, and the one PayPal gave me proved to be bogus. Did you know that pay-pal does not have a workable buyer protection plan? True, and I have since cancelled all relationships with that company.
There is only one way to describe these people. Frauds and thieves.

I write this review with EXTREME anger and disgust! I ordered an alternator for my vehicle back in NOVEMBER 2021 in hopes of finishing my huge system in my show car. For starters, it wasn't plug and play AT ALL, it would only charge at about 12.8-13v which is practically not charging at all. After numerous emails I sent it back and waited an entire 4 months of run around emails about it being the shop being closed due to an illness and my alternator being "lost" in the warehouse and suddenly "found." After being called by the wrong name via email and told the alternator was functioning properly (which it wasn't) the alt was sent back to me with instructions to swap out the regulator… WITHOUT ONE BEING SUPPLIED. A few months later and numerous emails later, I finally get a response about the regulator and it being shipped. By this time it is DECEMBER 2022 and still… no functioning product. I received the regulator about a week and a half after it was sent and had it installed. It worked…for all of 1 MONTH BEFORE THE ALTERNATOR BURNED! As of today JUNE 6,2023 I am still awaiting a response from Mr. Nicholas Starks. I have been extremely patient but in the near future legal action will be the only thing left to resort to.

So I needed a high output alternator to support my audio demands as my stick unit would cause my voltage to dip into the 11's with only about half of the volume and I was not going to push it. I was recommended them from a buddy and got a quote for a 350 amp unit with powder coat for about the same as the other units minus powder. I took a shot and was very pleased to see the powder was excellent and a bench test yielded advertised and then some. Problem was It didnt come with the harness. I'm not kidding when I say I contacted them and Nick sent it before my late mail reached him. Literally got a tracking number before the last email was sent. The harness arrived the next week and I've been able to rock full tilt and have yet to do below 14.1 volts with two 5k's and a 3k for mids and highs. I do have a bank 9f lithium at 90ah and even at idle I've never dipped into the 13's. I have zero complaints so here it is. If you have any doubts I'm here to tell you that I'm very bvb pleased and the unit is excellant. Satisfied AF. Thanks Nick!
