For my next purchase on furniture, I will be going to Bob's discount furniture for the simple reason that Ashley's furniture are liars and no good when they said I was only going to receive my furniture in a month I end up still not receiving it the second month And still waiting on it. They're no good they suck. On top of it all when I did receive two items they're damage in the corners, and it looks like they gave me the display product a set up brand new product that will come in a box and covered properly and still waiting for headboards and baseboards and stuff. They're no good.

Save yourself! Learn from our mistake. Don't buy Ashley Furniture. Dufresne Spencer Group dba Ashley HomeStore breached my daughter and partners Contract. Their dining table set came infested with Powderpost Beetles. These bugs are in the wood prior to manufacturing and burrow tunnels, turning your wood furniture to dust from the inside out. They are not the first victims. Many consumers are experiencing the same issues.

They did not send them what was ordered. Ashley HomeStore has admitted to the problem, but giving them the run around for a full refund. They don't care, they know this is a problem with their Manufacturing.

The Beetle started to emerge only a few months after owning the furniture. They called a Pest Control Professional immediately. In addition, to help protect their home, they were advised to remove the dining table set from the inside of the home and place it into the garage, sealed in plastic and monitor daily for additional Beetles emerging from the wood.

Pest Control did a full and Complete Pest Inspection, looking specifically for any other signs of these Beetles in their home. In addition, they examined the bugs and photos which were taken. After their detailed examination of all forensic evidence by the Licensed Pest Control Company, they were identified as a Powderpost Beetle.

Powderpost Beetles have a very unique life cycle.They are prevalent and appear in manufactured furniture, including that of Ashley Furniture. This isn't the first time this has happened to Ashley Furniture. The adult basically lays an egg to a tree. The larva bores into the tree, grows and transforms as the Beetle we see emerge. It bores its way to the surface to start its adult life and begin the cycle again. It happens and as a manufacturer of wood products Ashley Furniture is already aware of these pests, along with other pests that infest wood. Generally you can own the furniture for months to years and never know they are inside, until it's too late. Then if they get in your home, they will infest and damage your home.

"7 On Your Side," and other news media have reported this problem. Ashley has been fully aware of this issue for years and try to deny that they are responsible.

Protect your home and your furniture investments. Don't Buy Ashley Furniture! Look up Ashley/Dufresne Spencer Group on the BBB and see the poor quality furniture AF produces.

We had a big order with Ashley (South Edmonton Common Location: Edmonton, Canada) that included Sofa, Chester, Dresser and other items and it was a material amount for a retail customer.
Here are the reasons for the 2 stars:

1-There were delivery delays: Sales Order was dated 16th July, 2023. The first tranche was delivered in 4-5 days time approximately but the second tranche took forever to deliver (finally was delivered after escalation to the highest level) and there was ongoing confusion. Finally the second tranche was fully delivered on 12th August, 2023.

2-We had requested display items should not be delivered. In the second tranche Ashley delivered pre-assembled Chester/Dresser and so there was no way to confirm they were brand new pieces except verbal assurance. Per the response from Ashley Customer Service "When you get a white glove service – some of the items, specifically the items that are going to take hours to build in customer's house are built a day prior in the warehouse and wrapped in the blanket as the drive team have the limited time in their day to complete all the stops in their day". We should have been explained this process better.

3-After we did the initial deal we realized a couple of items seemed bigger and this portion was undelivered; Ashley referred me to their 48 hour cancellation policy and were asked to pay re-stocking fee if I proceed with cancellation. I would have appreciated some flexibility since you took a month to deliver. Since we did not want to pay the cost so we were forced to take the delivery.

4-While dealing with various teams there was a complete lack of empathy and the resolution offered was completely one sided and there was no flexibility.

This is my second major purchases with Ashley and our first experience was far better.
I would probably think ten times before purchasing from Ashley unless there is no option available in the market.

BEWARE They charge 50-80% more then their own on-line prices. They advertise & lie to your face that they are giving you triple net, SALES price.
I was sold a couch at $3999. It was on-line for $1800. (and this was at the Bel Air close out sale) At delivery they attempted to drop off the wrong couch, telling me its what I ordered. I did not accept it. I went on-line & found the couch they were delivering was a $1000. Couch. BEWARE if you accept ANY delivery, it is no longer returnable/refundable. Even if its the wrong one! See pics
They have the family & friends of employees write phoney reviews. I would not be shocked if they were being paid for each review they drum up!
Once they have your $$ they will not even take a call from you. Also there customer service & even the phoney Corp #*******802 I was given just take your complaint and apologize. They promise return calls from Corp within 72 hrs.
Nobody calls you back/The Churchville store rarely answers there phone. I called for 2 days 20 times a day with no answer. I drove to the store & the parking lot was empty. Inside people sitting around with phones ringing.
Since my furniture was still back ordered I wanted it canceled. I wanted the order canceled & my $9000. Refunded. So I could rebuy the same furniture in -store for almost $3000. Less then the Crook Salesperson had charged me at the Bel Air Store.
The female manager was so shocked and appalled with her subordinate worker. Saying HE was from a different area, coming to help with the close out.
I TOLD HER I WANTED THE ORDER CANCELED AND I WOULD REBUY IT ALL IN HER STORE.
She was competitive with pricing. Example A 5 drawer chest sold at Bel Air location $999. Churchville price $727. I wanted to buy extra bedroom pieces with the $$ I was due. (first time new bedroom furniture for my 10/11yr olds. 1 with cerebral palsy. & We recently lost my husband/father.) GODS truth.
She (churchville con artist) added a boys 5 drawer chest, $717. Lil girls vanity $215. And a girls night stand $337. Then said (are you ok paying $350.?) At this point I trusted her and did not realize my price adjustment she came up to while diligently tapping away on her calculator. (her store prop) was only appx $800.
If I had bought the exact same furniture from there company on line, I would have saved close to $3000. YES three thousand dollars. Also got it with-in 2 weeks instead of 2 months plus. When I recieved the delivery. POOF
POOF POOF POOF none of the extra furniture was included!
And once received. It is bo longer returnable/refundable. EVEN ITS THE WRONG PIECE! NO ONE WILL RESOLVE THE THEFT BY FRAUD ISSUES.

I lost nearly all of my earthly possessions to flooding from Hurricane Ian.

You expressed a desire to provide further assistance in our flood recovery. I have spent several hours on hold with the corporate line, spoken to several agents, left messages for the store manager, and even walked into my local store for assistance. While I was combing through the website to find the best contact numbers, I found Ashley's corporate social accountability with a letter from Todd Wanek outlining Ashley's commitment to its customers including communities impacted by natural disasters https://www.ashleyfurniture.com/about-us/corporate-social-responsibility/report/

I thought I was properly insured with homeowner's, flood, and Ashley's furniture protection through ProtectAll, but none of the policies will cover any of my damages. ProtectAll promptly denied my claim #*******.

I was hoping Ashley would be might be willing to help replace the items since the warranty I bought (as a comprehensive plan to repair "any" damage) was denied. Paying the remaining balance for my new furniture while trying to replace an entire household of furniture lost is a tremendous personal and financial burden.

I have had no response to my repeated attempts for find a solution *particularly* since your corporation publicly attests to helping victims of natural disasters. If you claim it, you should honor it.

Tip for consumers:
If you need to speak with anyone of authority, you will spend hours on hold in the endless loop of automated responses.

Last May 2021 we went looking for recliners to fit in our rv. Eduardo was great, not pushy, paid attention to the details we needed. We still love it, just over a year later.
