Astracases

I purchased an Astra case for my iPhone because it looked very durable and was inexpensive. It is very durable but has some major flaws. The first thing I noticed was a bubble behind my screen protector I couldn't get rid of because it's attached to the case and not the phone it's self, not a huge deal just annoying. Then the screen protector broke. The screen protector is very thick and so glass fell on the ground and I nearly cut myself on the glass, again not a deal breaker. I ripped out the broken glass and replaced it with a standard screen protector. Holy clarity! I could see my screen as intended. The biggest issue was all the while I had terrible reception. My phone was constantly in "SOS mode" if i wanted to make a call I had to stand by a window and switch it to airplane mode and back to standard. I finally realized that the metal phone case could be obstructing the antenna. Sure enough I took the case off and it immediately went from SOS to 2 bars…. Now I need to find a plastic case. As tough as the case is and as much as I liked the idea of it being metal, its worthless if the phone doesn't work. Worst case ever. Avoid!
