I Purchased an MB star scanner (OBD2 module C5, Used laptop with MB star software installed) which would not connect at all. On their website they stated it is all plug and play all checked out, Then I had to work with their Email ONLY tech two or three times -still no good, very disappointed and discouraged, They finally refunded my money, however, they tried to refund only partly because they still wanted me to try again, what? They finally did refund the rest however I had to PAY for returning their defective unit!. Very sad experience overall Would not do any business with them again.
This tool the sell for Porsche does not do as they describe and their return policy starts from the time they ship it so they, in most cases will not let you return it, also absolutely no support, buyer beware, BAD EXPERIENCE

These are software's and if any settings get changed scanner may not connect(like the IP address) and this is what happened. Customer changed settings that even wifi on laptop was not working and scanner was not connecting, also all programs was much larger when we got the unit back. We always make sure all customers are happy no matter what so we wanted to put back the unit back to its original settings after first try customer said he didn't want to waste more time so we told him we would repair complete unit back for him free of charge and give him a huge discount on the unit and ship back to him 100% plug and play unit but customer said he wanted full refund which we did issue his full refund same day we got the return back.
We responded to all his emails within minutes max hours same day as we do for all our customers.
We test each and every one of our scanners to make sure its plug and play before we ship out which we also did for this customer but if customers change settings things can happen but we will always make sure to fix it for customers free of charge as we do provide all support free for the life of the units we sell.
