I was looking for a company to do some land surveying. From their website, B & B surveying is owned by Deward Bowles, who is a registered professional land surveyor with Texas Board of Professional Land Surveying. After inquiring about complaints filed with Deward Bowles with the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveying, I found that Mr. Bowles has multiple complaints against him including one by the city of Houston who was his client. It amazes me how he is still in business with so many complaints filed against him with the state board. Unfortunately, the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveying does not show the complaints of surveyors on their website and obviously they don't do much to protect the public. I had to call in to request complaints file against Mr. Bowles and it is alarming to see so many complaints filed against him. What the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveying reveals are only accepted complaints by the board and not the amount of complaints filed against him. So there is a good possibility he has many more complaints against him but not disciplined by the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveying.
