An honest website that tells it how it is. Love it. Heaps of reviews on loads of beauty products and membership is free of charge. My go to source before I purchase any beauty product.

I love what this site stands for, and have been a follower of the site, and books before that, for almost 20 years. Paula posts reviews of tons of makeup and skincare lines individual products, saying which is the best of the best, and which contain irritating ingredients and aren't worth the money. She has an ingredient dictionary that lists scientific findings from studies and good and bad things that the ingredients might do to you - since everyone is sensitive to different levels. I have rosacea, and following the guidance on this site saves me a lot of money and worry about what might be OK for me to try that won't give me a bad reaction. You can sort reviews lots of ways too - by product type, brand, ratings, or price - all of this is very helpful, and a great starting point for researching a product. Her Paula's Choice skincare line (sold on-line only) is excellent - and prices are good for the quality, non-irritating ingredients, and a little goes a long way with everything.

The only problem I have is that her products come up all the time now in the list of great products- I know her products are great, why would she make anything that couldn't compete against products rated the best in her reviews? She didn't always have products, and for several years she didn't push her products, just a quick statement that a certain item was comparable to one in her line - that was fine - but now full reviews of her products are in with all the other brands, which I don't like. Her products are excellent for sure, and I go back to using them all the time because they never irritate my skin and do what they say they will, but I don't need her reviews on her products.
