Beaverton Auto Upholstery's convertible top installation job is botched in multiple places. At the front driver's side corner, the fabric is warped. Between the fabric and sealing gasket there is an inch size hole. I stuck a red pencil through this hole to show that it is though the top. It is not possible to fix this big ugly wrinkle because inside the fabric there is hard glue - epoxy resin like substance. If I try to crack that hard resin under the fabric, I shall most definitely tear the fabric.
The convertible top seems shorter than it should be. If I fasten the two big mounting screws upfront, then the lower back fabric part on the rear bow, under the rear plastic window is popped up leaving an ugly gap. If I lower that back bow rear fabric lip, then I can not move the front bow forward enough for the 2 big fastening screws to reach their corresponding sockets,
The passenger side front upper corner has a screw that is not original chromed, but a generic one taken from fasteners bin. Original screw was lost.
There is 1 fabric strip on the vertical sides of the middle bow missing. When I pointed that to Steve Mackley, he told me to glue it myself. Even if the front upper driver's side corner was not messed beyond repair, then I paid $1,079.00 labor to fix the other botched areas myself?
The "Screw you, customer: it's good enough" attitude at the Beaverton Auto upholstery is flagrantly outrageous.
