“Completely Unproductive Experience”

Honomos D.
3/19/21

My experience was limited but that was enough to realize this site is not about having respectful discussions or thought-provoking friendly debates regarding Bible topics since no one there will actually engage in open, productive dialogue. If you happen to believe in and agree with everything those on this site believe in, then you will at least not feel completely alienated. However, if you provide Bible verses that do not support their assertions, then no one there will engage in thoughtful, edifying, logical, or growth-oriented conversations. Instead, you will likely just receive endless verses in response without explanation or actual back and forth dialogue. Unfortunately, being there just becomes a waste of time for everyone. Quite sad really.

Good luck having a real conversation here. Unless you plan to come up with ridiculous conspiracy theories about how the end of the world will happen. The mods routinely abuse their position. The admin keep cover up abuse. The number of topics you're allowed to discuss is tiny, and they're constantly looking for any flaw to "discipline" you for. The admin, rookie and amazzin, are ministers who are complete $#*!s. They gaslight, harass, and bully everyone, especially the vulnerable. Venomous snakes in sheep's clothing.

I was on this mess of a forum for ONE day! Stay away from these demons. The new Admin - Athanasius - is a complete biased idiot who deletes everything he disagrees with. Especially when it comes to the diabolical TRINITY.

I can only echo what others have said. If you're looking for uplifting Christian fellowship with discussion and debate, don't waste your time with BibleForums.org. 99% of the time when you go there there's so much porn spam you can't find the legitimate posts. Their software is old and doesn't work right half the time. The Edit feature doesn't work right either unless you jump through several hoops... ridiculous.

Cheers,

Phil

In the "controversial" forums was a simple discussion of observing the Sabbath... One guy said Jesus abolished the law, all I did was point out Matt 5:17 where He himself said He didn't... less than 24 hours later I'm permanently BANNED... banned instead of debated or have any discussion about it at all... That's the behavior of a BIBLE FORUM? Well, I guess no one wants to learn anything there.

Lord Almighty this message board is horrible. So many rules, most of them you only discover after you've broken them because they're not written down anywhere! Only Christians are allowed to post outside of one Q&A section, I am a Christian and I have never found a worse place to talk about the Bible things I love than this. Everyone is looking for ones to trump and one-up everyone else, people with sincere questions or life problems are belittled by self righteous know it alls. Totally obsessed with the end times, the board's owner pressured long time members to accept the prophecies of his daughter and banned the ones who didn't. One board leader, Rookie, is a high ranking leader in an end times cult in Kansas City that masquerades as a prayer community. Another board leader, amazzin, is the most spiteful, self righteous, hateful one in the bunch. I came looking for a place to talk about things I love, and was thrown out because I objected to how mean spirited and cruel amazzin and other leaders behaved.

This site has a very narrow parameter
Of doctrines that you can not venture out of. They have very high
Censorship. They are very anti Catholic, more Catholic hate threads
Than most sites and the mods are very rude and hateful.

When I first joined I was going through
A divorce, facing a life of seeing my kids only part time, I cried
All the time for the first time in my life and I didnt want to live
Anymore. The site had counseling, I asked to speak with someone, and
Could not believe how rude the guy was, I said a lot, asked lots of
Questions, he ignored everything I said, copy/pasted random bible
Scriptures, then gave a quick "are we done?" I was shocked at how
He could be so crude and unemphatic. Amazzin was the guys name.

If your Christian you might want to
Steer clear of this place.

The following review comes from the first-hand experience of a user who participated on this message board for several years, as well as a summary of experienced described by other users. This website purports to allow anyone to join to join about all kinds of bible-related discussions. It seems a great place for a person to join to dialogue with others and learn new things. In reality, this website is no home to anyone. Users cannot be 'unorthodox' in any way, which means they must be Protestants. But even that is not enough. Users are not even allowed to talk about Catholicism, universalism, preterism, or LGBT rights, let alone hold any of those beliefs. Offering for discussion any topic beyond the fence of a radically conservative theology is a suspension-worthy offense, sometimes ban-worthy if the moderators are in a sour enough mood. Politically conservative views are also an unspoken requirement. The message board's moderators are prone to abuse, targeting anyone they deem even remotely 'unorthodox'. This has, on occasion, resulted in moderators literally deleting comments or entire threads to cover up erroneous crackdowns of users they misinterpreted, with no apology offered to the people they rolled over in the process. Sometimes they outright harass individual users they don't like, sending them private messages encouraging them to quit. The chief admin on the message board is a high-ranking leader in the International House of Prayer, an armageddon-obsessed sect that ranks high on the spectrum of cultic tendencies. Accordingly, the message board breeds a culture of wild speculation on the nature of the end of the world. Many users simply lie about what each other believes, accusing this and that of heresy or unorthodoxy, in a bid to win an argument. Overall, with few exceptions, the message board is full of sharp and bitter disagreements, self-righteous moderators who routinely throw their weight around and belittle their chosen scapegoats, and an ever-shrinking list of acceptable topics of discussion. Really, if you (whether you're a Christian or not) want a place to have the sort of big discussions about the bible or Christianity, you're better off finding a group on Facebook or Reddit.
