This company cannot follow directions! I asked for sleeves giving length and circumference. Dress arrived with no sleeves! They offered to remake the dress( why when only sleeves needed to be added) at a cost to me of 70% of the original price! Plus postage. If they make a mistake you pay for it.

I just wish I had read these reviews before I ordered. My experience with this company echoes the worst of the worst, but how can they be allowed to trade and get away with their shocking service? If we are going to be trading with more countries outside the EU after Brexit then we need to have rules and regulations that hold companies like this to account for their poor service! I have been stung for £161.

They DO NOT accept returns or refunds. Dress quite well made with good fabric but shape/style and sizing all wrong. Goodness knows how they are able to get away with such appalling customer service. A complete waste of money.
Their site reviews are all excellent (don't believe them) but I'm unable to leave a review on there. I wonder why? :(

I placed order for prom dress from www.britishdress.co.uk on 2017-06-10 19:20:44.
And asked them to deliver the dress on 22/06/2017 as the school prom event is taken place on 27/06/2017. The Payment has been taken out of my account but I have received delivery up till now

I've sent several messages/emails to inform them that we have not received the delivery but yet no reply. Also tried to login to my account on their website but cannot because it doesn't accept the password.

If there was an option for no star then they would get it. I ordered a dress and jacket for my daughters wedding. It was expensive but as it was for a wedding i didnt mind. The dress took 2 months to arrive and when it did it was too small and did not look like the image on their website.
I contacted them via email to ask to return the outfit and for a refund. They insisted on having a picture of me in the dress which i disapprovingly sent. They still refused to give me a refund. I would strongly advice everyone not to even consider ordering anything from them.

Worth looking dress I've ever seen, will.not return, keeps asking my disabled mother to try it on, these people are not British there con useless horrible people, u give other hard working Chinese people bad name! U should be ashamed of yourself waste of £150

Don't know where to start, the company is not British they are a Chinese rouge trader out to con and disrespect and insult your intelligence.

And has a cheek to offer me £10.40 refund and the nerve to say if I get full refunded they don't have a profit.

Over all costs 220.00 and standard of work was poor
I was honest and said dresses were not suitable and got offered a 5% refund!

I ordered a dress for my daughter for her prom, the dress on the internet was beautiful lovely pink colour, so against my better judgement we ordered from ' British Dress ', We waiting nearly a month for it to arrive and to say we were disappointed is a under statement, the colour that came back a dirty grey, very poor quality! I emailed the company and they asked me to show them photo's in which I did, then they asked if I pay 70% cost to another dress they would change it, I said no I wanted a full refund and haven't heard anything from them since, even though I am email them everyday! I will be going to trading standards unless a full refund is given. I never complain but if this review stops someone else from buying this company it was worth writing!

I've tried other wholesale sites, but hands down, I had never received such great product than from Britishdress! I purchased lots of fashion dresses and they came in great! My product is literally flying off the shelves and I keep coming back to order more! Miley is amazing and extremely helpful. A really big thank you to all concerned.

Words cannot express how disappointed I am with this site. Having ordered one dress, it arrived not quite like the photograph. Accepting this, I ordered two more for additional bridesmaids, only for the other two to arrive looking completely different.
The colour is different; the embroidery is COMPLETELY different as well.

I have repeatedly asked for details of how to obtain a refund, given that this is hard-earned savings for my wedding. However, I have simply been advised that there will always be a difference in embroidery, and then that the interval between the two orders was too long - despite ordering exactly the same dress! I don't believe it's unreasonable to expect the same dress to arrive!

Please do not under any circumstances order from this awful company, they are liars, cheats and thieves and not based in the UK either! I ordered a standard size 16 dress for my son's wedding at a cost of £89.99 and a £19 shipping fee and when it arrived I could not try it on as the sleeves were so small! I immediately contacted them for a refund and there my problems began! It took over 3 weeks to get a reply, then they said it was custom made for me so could not be returned, again a lie! I politley told them to read their own terms and conditions which clearly states returns and refunds no problem but no they would not even offer an address a clear case of misrepresentation! After 20+ emails back and forth they offered me 14% refund which came to £11.89 a figure which did not even cover the shipping fees and a total insult! I am now stuck with a dress that Is completely useless to me in a size 16 that even my size 12 sister cannot get on! This company needs to be exposed and I have contacted BBC watchdog and also trading standards in the hope that somebody will bring this dreadful company down!

Rubbish do not order had a dress abt 6 sizes to small looks like rags says u can have refund on site, after 20 emails mite give me 20% off lol, dress cost me £91 total was £118.00, total scam!

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you buy from these people. I have been charged for a dress in April that I have still not received. Look at the other reviews as well there are twice as many 1's as 5's at least. Would rate -5 if i could.

My god this is the worst company I have ever dealt with the quality is rubbish when I complained I was advised to take it to a dressmaker to fix and they would pay it was a 2 piece suit the jacket was pulled and puckered everywhere they told me but the dress is ok Dudu it was a suit I ordered if I wanted just a dress I go to the high street and not for 140.00 I sent the pics of dress as I said they told me to get it fixed at dressmakers no mention of the jacket it was beyond repair. Just wish I could post pics here your eyes would pop out your head had the audacity to offer 15 percent discount.? Spent more on the post. Can assure you the pics and the true item don't match

I had ordered a dress on line in jan as it was my sons wedding and was sent a wrong size not up to my order since then I have not received my refund. Although the website says full refund or remake. No refund has been made its now 8 months. I would suggest do not order anything from this site it does not come from the UK but from china.

I ordered a dress from British dress which came sooner than promised. I was impatient waiting but when emailing them they reassured me straight away. The detail on the dress was more beautiful than the picture and fit perfectly. Thankyou. Looking forward to my wedding day. Ow on 22nd July xxx

Bought a dress and it was a pile of crap. Quality was rubbish. Contacted them and they offered me 10% which I find disgusting. Please please do not yet this site.

I have never been so annoyed with a company, apsalutly disgusting, I've sent so many emails and I've been left and ignored, they rip you off, and when the item is faulty they offer you a measly refund which has took weeks and weeks and weeks of me complaining and emailing, I think I've sent over 20 emails, please don't buy anything from here because you will be very disappointed, I don't know how the company is alowed to carry on, the communication from British dress is $#*!, Lisa fletcher, I selected the rating a 1 only because there wasn't a 0.

Complete scam of a webpage. I was unsure about this page but seen a dress i would like for my engagement party & paid via credit card to cover myself! Dress came doesnt look as it appears on their webpage so i emailed asked for returns details when i was asked to send pictures snd what the fault was. I just did not like the dress and wanted a refund and it states on their page they will refund if unhappy! My emails are now being egnored as they will not provide me details dont know how they can take that kind of money from people & expect to get away with it. I will now be going through my credit card and see what the next step of action i need to take. Will never use a webpage like this again! Scam

Despite advertising that they offer full refunds to customers if they are unhappy with their purchases, this is not the case! The day I received the dress I informed them of my dislike of their cheap Chinamade copy of the beautiful dress on their website that I bought. They have also not provided me with a return address despite my repeated requests for one. This website is anything but British and you should not trust them. They also tell you to get any tailoring alterations done yourself locally and they claim they will 'refund' you your costs- this will also be a lie- do not be taken in by them or their. co.uk website! They are thieves!
