“DO NOT VISIT! SAVE UR MONEY”

Marissa M.
8/10/23

IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE NO STARS, OR NEGATIVE 0 I WOULD. ************ PLEASE DONT EVEN WASTE YOUR MONEY! DIRTY ROOMS, BROKEN FURNITURE, Front Desk never picks up the phone. My Experience with this hotel has been the absolute worst. I saw 50/50 reviews and still decided to try it, but I wish I had saw all the red flags and ran. I have visited Miami in the past and stayed at "sister location" and had a pleasant experience and was excited to be back here, but this one wasn't quite the same. I reached out via email to the Owner/Boss/Manager because I kept waiting to talk to someone hiring up and the front desk just kept handing me her card. I believe she owns, Chesterfield Hotel, Hotel Shelly, and Hotel Chesla and I would advise against booking at any of them if this is how they treat guests at one hotel, I'm sure they treat them all like this. Here's an overview about my stay and my concerns: I arrived on the property Thursday evening around 1030PM/1045PM and got checked in. I came to my room to get changed and take a shower to head out and party and the hot water wasn't working. I went downstairs to the front desk, after calling for 10 mins (THEY NEVER PICK UP THE PHONES) and informed someone and they told me someone will check into it and give my room "a ring" when it's fixed. I went back down around 12AM and 2AM to see if there were any updates and/or ask for a room change and I was told no, because the "people to fix the hot water were still not on site" and no to a room change because the hotel was full to capacity. They ensured me again, that the hot water would be fixed and call my room when it was. LONG STORY SHORT...I never got that phone call and woke up Friday Morning at 830AM and still no hot water. I went back down to the front desk again and a different front clerk was on shift. I asked about the hot water and/or switching to a different room and was told that the hot water wasn't working for all 3 buildings. I asked the clerk to speak to someone else higher up, like a supervisor. I was then told that she would find a room with hot water and give me access to the bathroom- but only the bathroom. She went onto the first room on the first floor next to the bar and told me she found a room with hot water available - right after she told me there were no hot water in all 3 buildings. I said yes and thank you for letting me use the room, so I went to my original room and got clothes to take a shower and was allowed access to only the bathroom. I appreciate her letting me use the shower, but that same clerk just lied and said there wasn't any hot water in the 3 buildings and also prior to this, the overnight clerk told me the hotel was full to capacity and the hot water would be fixed soon and I cannot change rooms. THEY JUST LIE AND LIE AND LIE! I took a shower and came back to my original room. At this time I put on a movie around 930AM I washed my hands after using the bathroom and the hot water was working. The hot water though now, is super hot coming out- but I am grateful to finally have access to the hot water. I left Sunday morning at 5AM AND STILL NEVER TALKED TO ANYONE OF AUTHORITY ABOUT THIS DISGUSTING STAY AND HOW I WAS UNABLE TO UTILIZE EVRYTHING IN MY ROOM. I did not get to enjoy my full stay and felt I should have been accommodated for at least the first day- since I was not about to do anything. I was not able to do anything on my first night, on Thursday, and some of Friday morning. I even missed out on going out and enjoying FRIDAY morning because I couldn't attend a YOGA class on the beach I signed up for- scared I would return to my room sandy and not be able to take a comfortable bath. I also had to eat the cost of the YOGA CLASS with was $33, but again not the point. ALL OF MY AMENITIES SHOuld have been working OR I should've been moved to another room ASAP! *******AGAIN DO NOT BOOK OR VISIT THIS PLACE!********* This place is located at 855 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL, 33139.
