I booked with Clever Hotels and got an e-mail two weeks before my stay saying they ere in administration and my booking was cancelled but they took my payment. Do not use this site ever. It is a scam

Booked through Trivago to go to Mallorca and with 2 days of the money being taken out of my account, Clever-Hotels filed for insolvency. This has left me to chase my money back through the bank which could take months. Disgusted that Clever-Hotels continued to trade and take customers money knowing they would not fulfil bookings. Disappointed that Trivago did not remove them earlier from their site. Trivago have been good in acknowledging my complaint but I have had nothing in response regarding a resolution to my case. Lesson to learn, do your research on booking firms first and don't assume you are booking 'with Trivago' because you are not.

Scam website. Charged me money, said they'd booked the rooms, but when I called the hotel itself, I was told that the booking was never made, and that the hotel had closed down a couple months after I made the booking. Another thing which I was not informed of. Do not buy from them

I booked a hotel through Trivago in June and was referred to the Clever-hotels website (run by Nalvear GmBH in Hamburg Germany). We received an email on Friday to say that the company had gone into insolvency and the booking has been cancelled. Now, we assumed this was bad luck-bad news but these things happen... that is until we searched online for this company and discovered that people have been having problems with this company since 2012 and had been complaining to Trivago about it for months PRIOR to us booking our hotel (that will teach me for trusting Trivago and not doing my own research on the hotel-lesson learnt on my part!). It seems that clever-hotels was trading under another name which then went into insolvency, then changed to Navlear-GmBH-which has now gone into insolvency-how long until they change their name again and Trivago allows us to book a hotel with these scam-artists?

Dont book with clever -hotels the will only take yours money the are con dont book with clever-hotels you will losing money holiday and west time to contact this company, the phone is not working or not anwser the not replay for emails CLEVER-HOTELS NOT TRUST COMPANY

They really do have great prices, so far so good. For those who are worried about their bookings I would recommend to stick to the traditional travel agent. It's like buying your shoes online vs. in the shop..

BOOKED A HOTEL ROOM THROUGH THIS SITE. AFTER MAY CREDIT CARD HAD BEEN CHARGED, I RECEIVED NO CONFIRMATION EMAIL. I CONTACTED THE COMPANY AND WAS TOLD THE ROOM WAS NO LONGER AVAILABLE AND SHOULD GO BACK ON THERE SITE TO CHOOSE ANOTHER ROOM. AFTER REVIEWING THE OTHER HOTELS ON THERE SITE, I DECIDED NONE OF THE HOTELS MET OUR REQUIREMENTS AND ASKED FOR A REFUND ( WHICH THEY ALREADY SAID THEY WOULD GIVE IF NOTHING WAS SUITABLE) AFTER 3 WEEKS WITH OUT ANYMORE REPLY'S TO MY EMAILS, I HAD TO CONTACT THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY ABOUT RECEIVING A CHARGE BACK ON MY CARD. ONLY GOT THE MONEY BACK TODAY, 7 WEEKS AFTER BOOKING THE HOTEL. MY ADVICE TO ANYONE THINKING OF BOOKING WITH THIS PROVIDER IS NOT TOO OR PRAY THAT THEY HAVE THE ROOM YOUR LOOKING FOR. CAUSE YELL BE WAITING A LONG TIME TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK!

I've booked with clever-hotels.com many times, the last one being for New Year's Eve in Paris. Their prices are simply brilliant and until now I didn't have any problems regarding the hotel or the booking itslelf. The only negative comment I can leave is that the website is sometimes a little bit slow but apart from that no complaints.
