“Great site connecting poeple from all over the world”

This site has thousands of cars for sale with little defects and some totalled. But the most important thing is that you can find one the suits what you need. It's a great business.

“A FRIGGIN' DEN OF THIEVES (or a towering conglomeration of conspicuous incompetence)”

BRIEF - I bid for and won a car which was described as a "2016 Volvo S60 POLESTAR" on both the "CoPart" & "A Better Bid" (the broker) websites. Both sites clearly (but falsely) identified the vehicle by the title: "2016 VOLVO S60 POLESTAR", but it is an "R-DESIGN" -- approximately the difference between Lobster and Green Jello (when you've ordered and paid for LOBSTER). I've attempted to return the car or to be partially refunded for the false listing to no avail. DETAILS (all times detailed p.s. t.): Searching for a project car on CoPart's website, I entered "Volvo Polestar" in the search bar. One of the few results was a the car I wound up bidding on. The title and description for this car was (and remains as of this writing) "2016 VOLVO S60 Polestar". Sept 18: I placed the highest bid for and won the car identified as a "2016 VOLVO S60 Polestar". Sept 25 ~08:15: I called CoPart Bakersfield, spoke to a CoPart employee, Clarissa (sp?), and received assurances that the car was, in fact, a "Volvo 2016 S60 Polestar" as indicated in CoPart database, that the auction naming process is an automated extraction from the VIN#/not hand entered. Further, at my prompting and with my instructions about where to look on the car for identifying badges and labels and trim indicators, Clarissa presented an ON SITE visual inspection of the vehicle conducted by a CoPart employee and further verified that the car was correctly identified as a POLESTAR. Oct 4 ~14:25: the car identified as a "2016 VOLVO S60 Polestar" was delivered and it was immediately and abundantly apparent that the car had been misrepresented. The car identified and described as a "2016 Volvo S60 Polestar" is actually a "2016 Volvo S60 R Design" as indicated by several badges in locations which I informed the CoPart representative to check on Friday Sept 25th. I immediately took photos of the identifying badges, and other markings. Oct 4 ~15:17, I called and spoke to both Clarissa and Greg *** (the CoPart general manager for CoPart Bakersfield) and explained my situation. I was instructed to call A Better Bid and to have them contact CoPart on my behalf (I didn't understand this until later in the saga as Copart insulating themselves from responsibility for any aspect of the sale). I explained my reservation to this as my experience with the company had been less than satisfactory historically. Oct 4 ~15:27: I called A Better Bid, asked for an itemization of the information they required to submit a claim with CoPart and agreed to send them an email with the requested items as soon as the morning of Tuesday, October 7th (with subsequent findings to follow in additional emails). Oct 7 ~07:58: I sent the first of 3 emails with photographs and other evidence that the vehicle falsely advertised as a "2016 VOLVO S60 Polestar" was actually a "2016 VOLVO S60 R-Design" (as is abundantly clear by looking at the locations illustrated in the photographs). Oct 8: after receiving no response from either CoPart or A Better Bid, I write a follow up email and re-attached all pertinent photographs and other information Oct 20, ~12:24: Still no response so I contact A Better Bid, and they in turn contact CoPart and then inform me that CoPart has responded that (paraphrasing) the matter does not merit their attention as I, the buyer, did not bother to prove that they Falsely Advertised the vehicle until after it was delivered... After applying some pressure, CoPart finally agreed to a 'buy-back' of the vehicle (a squishy admission of guilt). However, they refuse to refund any part of my transportation fees from their facility to my home. Or the return transportation fees from my home back to their facility. In essence, they want me to swallow all associated costs (over $1250 plus additional expenses) while they get away with False Advertising and they get their vehicle back (in better shape than it was when they sent it to me). I declined, obviously... In the end, CoPart, in my popular opinion, is a malignant, greedy, malicious, seedy, trixy little company steeped in dishonesty and ill intent (... my precious...). They shield themselves with their 'brokers' and stab at your eyes and wallet insulated by these minions that they use to fend off responsibility for their actions ('A Better Bid'?... they suck too. But in a whole 'nother way that will require a separate, full-throated complaint of its own). If you do (please don't) happen to do any sort of business with them (either of them), make sure you record everything. Not that it will do you any good in the end as they are clearly not moved by fairness, reputation, humanity, goodwill towards others or anything resembling honesty. Use IAAI instead (they have an A- rating on BBB and the cars there are usually a bit cheaper... particularly because they are not falsely advertised). Hiya, Greg :)

I have been a member for just a few months now and already i have found that this place to be a joke,, they seem to have phantom vehicles? Or vehicles showing up on the block same day as sold. I had been watching a vehicle and seen it sell multiple times. If you call your local office like i did, mine is airway hights washington, to ask questions about said vehicle, and why its been back on the block for this is a dealer item only (brokers) are available for dealer items for the public. They (Lauren) just tell you they don't know they don't pay,, i am thinking well idiot, i am asking is there a paper problem or something? NOT god forbid a dealer don't pay for there car. Then say things like you make to big of deals about things, then ask if cooperate might be able to do something they get even more rude, and repeat moot information. If you call *******400 cooperate number it don't get answered. You wait on hold for 25 minutes to being transferred to be hung up on when your the next caller in line, or it goes to a voice mail that yep you guessed it always full. It is irritating to do business with a business that wont talk to you. Also i have made it a point to try this number 3 times a week for a month. Also my son bought a clunker for $500, after there "FEES" he paid $900 the car was already on site, so no shipping. Sales tax + fees
