DaBella, Kent installed Hardie Plank siding to the southside of my home in Maple Valley. After work completion and payment in full, I went about painting the roof fascia. What I found were nine (9) nail penetration (inside out) along the overhang. They were uniformly inline with the siding.
It was clear the nail gun was held at an angle. This is incorrect use of the nail gun and does not follow Hardie best practice. Nails fastening the planks should be at a right angle and flush.
Brody Hess, at the Kent DaBella did not dispute the claim they damaged the 2-month-old roof. He suggested I find a contractor to replace the damaged roofing he said DaBella cannot do roofing. I believed this contractor was working in good faith.
What I learned is this is untrue. DaBella provides roofing services.
The sales practice is high pressure. The attention they pay after receiving payment is zero. I do not recommend DaBella. In fact, if there was an option for no stars, I would choose it.

My Husband filled out a form for Powell & Sons siding and ended up getting a call from Dabella. They drove from the Yakima, WA office. I grew up with my parents doing renovations and I'm well versed in how a quote should go. This was a giant sales pitch. First off the guy started off by wanting to use our bathroom. We were both very off put by this. It's unprofessional. If someone wants into your house that is quoting you and they don't need to be inside it's generally a red flag they are looking at what you have to see what you can afford. He basically told us that he would be very off put if we didn't sign up today and throughout his sales pitch he voiced this in various ways. He insisted on doing his sales pitch in our dinning room after measuring the house. We told him we had somewhere to be and he did not care. The sales pitch included telling us he won't put a lien on our house. Very unprofessional for a company to even mention such a thing. He kept making us answer over and and over questions like what happens when a little nail is missing? Answer, you get moisture in your house. We had to answer questions like this- I kid you not about 20 times I was starting to get really ticked at this sales tactic. Then they showed a graphic of all of their wonderful reviews, interesting because when he was outside all I primarily found bad reviews. This kid was in my house from 6:00-8:30 we told him over and over we had to go and he kept making excuses about needing to contact his boss. He kept stalling even though I had my keys and purse. Finally, I kicked him outside to my driveway. He did not leave. I waited around the corner for 10 min and he did not drive off. We decided to come home after 15 min and he was still in the driveway. He did not leave my house until after 9:00. I was honestly getting creeped out and took is license plate down because I knew I was about to have to kick him off my property and no longer trusted him. We considered calling the police. He came back to the front door and spent a few more min trying to tell my husband to lock in now after dropping his price about 22,000.00. Through out his pitch he kept saying a good customer locks in the first day. This whole thing was a sham. I felt violated and disrespected in my own home. There is no way any division of this company will ever have our business.

RED FLAG – DaBella (Reve Exteriors LLC): for those wanting the best James Hardie (JH) cement board with color-lock to be installed on your forever home by a certified contractor warrantied by James Hardie, and you are considering DaBella... DON'T DO IT, especially with the Tri-Cities Office managed by Mr. Christian Humphrey, my POC.
1. Experienced significant order delays (signed contract 8-18-2021 is still not done as of 4-18-2022). My one (1) year DaBella workmanship warranty is going to expire before I get the job completed.
2. DaBella used substituted material in the fascia and 3-car garage trim-out (see 4. B. below). This is a SIGNIFICANT contract issue IGNORED by DaBella.
3. DaBella supported inadequate installation contrary to the James Hardie certified and guaranteed way. Not a single worker has been trained by James Hardie as DaBella claims (I asked every crew member).
4. DaBella supported inadequate carpentry skills creating grotesque appearances:
A. The fascia material was swapped out, the butts are not true, EVERY corner joint is off, the fascia board was installed by the roofing crew and took off the roof drip line making it 1/8" to 1-1/2" offsets, front fascia is a 10" trim board not the 7" size on the rest of the house, and the fascia runs sag.
B. The trim on the garage casing is substituted (used primed 7" fascia board instead of color-locked cement board), was not aligned at the joints/seams and the top boards sag (they caulked to fix both issues), and the bottom cuts are off.
C. They oversrayed my cement when they painted the primed boards used as trim! All throughout interaction with my DaBella POC I heard DaBella does not paint, and if it's not in the contract we don't do.
D. Contractor just installed the light boxed trim … my lights hang 2" over the trim (7 lights total)!
E. I have seams within a 16' section that are all over the place. This is where we sit and entertain. Just look at the picture.
F. Contractor's inconsistent trimming of the doors and windows is a slap to the senses. Only the trim of the sliding glass door was properly planned/executed.
G. All 3 garage doors have damage from when the old siding was removed from the house.
5. DaBella has not heard the feedback of the Alside 3-pane sliding glass door, which is: it skips and wobbles in the frame, the locking mechanism is temperamental and very hard to operate, and the frame flexes when you step on it.
6. DaBella has no quality control (all loops back to someone within marketing). I was told that DaBella's quality control is that if it looks good from 40' away it's a job well done. This is so wrong.

I asked my Tri-Cities DaBella POC and his installer to leave my property and send someone back to my job with basic carpentry understanding or no one at all because all I was getting was "that's how we do things" and "if it's not in the contract we don't do it." For my situation, even if it's in the contract they don't do it

Met with a DaBella sales team, John Michael and Avery on January 5,2024. We explained what we wanted done, they took measurements and pictures, showed us their products, and we signed a purchase/project agreement. The project was for a remodel of our master bathroom. Per our discussions, the project agreement, and contract, "Project notes: Azzurra Bay, Oil rubbed bronze, Rain spa, White base, window kit surround bath tub, do not replace tub, leave existing tub. Semi infinity glass swing door, recessed caddy 10/18, rain glass. No corner shelves wanted, bring them anyways." We paid our down payment of $500 that night. The project was anticipated to start on 3/3 and be completed on 3/6, total of 3 days.
From January 5th to February 14th, we had email correspondence with DaBella that included a formal work contract and application for a loan through 1st Security Bank for $20,000. They also sent John back out to take additional measurements, and sent us a contract addendum to clear up questions regarding the work being performed. A contractor was also sent out to take measurements, go over the project work, and review the contract.
On February 13th, Liz from DaBella called and stated they wanted to schedule our demo and remodel for the next day, February 14th. We got it scheduled with a start time of 8AM. Come morning of, I began reaching out to DaBella when the contractor was a no-call/no-show at 8:20AM. When the contractor did arrive at 8:30AM, he informed us that the job was being delayed as DaBella did not have all of the materials for the project.
I made several calls and sent several texts to customer service reps and our project manager at DaBella. Finally at 4PM, we were notified the materials were all accounted for and the project would resume the next day, February 15th.
The contractor arrived on-time and demo began. Once the bathroom was fully gutted the contractor had questions about the work. We went over it again only to realize he did not have the door nor the glass surround/enclosure. He stated he does not do this work. I reached out to DaBella and later was told they had my door but don't do the surround/enclosure, even though it is in contract. After several more calls, Andrew from DaBella reached out and told me that they would do the glass surround/enclosure "Free of Charge" since they don't normally do it. I pointed out it was in the contract to which he said, that is why they are doing it "Free of charge".
The work on my shower continued from February 15-20th. Once the installers completed the shower walls and the wraps, they left. I left a voicemail for Andrew at DaBella on February 22nd advising the contractors finished the walls and wraps and we were ready for the glass install. I did not receive a reply. I called again February 26th and spoke with Andrew who stated that he would be sending me a contract addedum for the new price of the project, and once they receive it back, they would be issuing me a refund of $2400 for the door. I requested an itemized cost breakdown of the project. He asked that I send him pictures of the current state of the bathroom and stated once he had those he would send me the addendum and breakdown, then expedite the refund check. I also received a call from Priscilla with DaBella. We went over the contract, and again I requested an itemized cost breakdown of the project. I told her I wanted to make sure we were being fully refunded for the items we were charged for but we're receiving. I informed her that I had been keeping track of all communications with DaBella and she asked me for the information. She said she would look into it all and get back to me either that night or the next day (Tuesday, February 28th). Here we are now Thursday, February 29th, and no reply, no itemized list, no addendum, nothing. I have made 2 verbal requests, and submitted 3 written requests (by email) for the itemized list.
This project was contracted to be completed in 3 days, it has now been 14 and I still do not have a useable shower, but I owe on the loan, have already made the down payment, and taken several days from work to be available. I will NOT be recommending DaBella to anyone. I have already filed a complaint with the BBB. I will be nice and give them until the contracted last date of March 6th (allowing 20 days instead of the contracted 3). If I don't have a useable shower by then, I will be filing complaints with the AZ Attorney General for consumer fraud (DaBella has been paid by 1st Security Bank), the AZ Registrar of Contractors, and every news station that will accept the information.

Tip for consumers:
DaBella has not provided the door or the surround for the shower. Refuses to provide an itemized list of costs, the request has been made twice verbally, and three times by email.

Products used:
Contracted for Azzurra Bay pattern panels, oil rubbed bronze, rain spa, white base, window kit surround bathtub, semi-infinity glass swing door, recessed catty 10/18, rain glass
