A warning for anyone who may come across this thief. Dave Bergeron from www.daveonyourhome.com agreed to renovate my bathroom. I was in a pinch and said no problem. After Dave inspected the job and materials we agreed on the work that needed to be done and a price. We signed the contract and I foolishly agreed to pay him a $500 deposit. The first day he worked 4 hours mucking drywall as well as starting to put up a waterproof membrane. Day two he spent 4 hours refinishing my ceiling for an additional $120 which we agreed upon. In total it took him 8 hours. The ceiling is completely destroyed. It's uneven and looks like garbage. In the process he scratched my brand new $500 toilet and covered it in drywall compound. On the third day he came in he proclaimed that he won't do the tiling because he doesn't know how. He told me to get different tiles a different sink. I told him absolutely not. I'm not going to haul 25 boxes of 30kg tiles out of the basement and get a new sink. After this exchange he broke the contract and walked off the job with my money and my bathroom a complete mess.
