Doorbell Factory

Don't do business with these people! We ordered a doorbell and when the electrician arrived, he said there was a problem with the wires in our walls and we would have to use a wireless doorbell system which we purchased locally. We returned the doorbell from this place over 2 months ago, still in its original package, unused, and they have not refunded our payment, minus the hefty restocking fee.
This is a shameful way to do business.

I ordered a wireless type B doorbell from the Doorbell Factory. There are no clear assembly instructions on line or in the packaging. So I called and was told that perhaps I didn't understand how to install because I'm a woman. I am a woman--and one with quite a bit of home repair experience. The instructions that came with the converter did not explain which of the five screws the two wires were supposed to be attached to--but maybe I'm just a dumb girl. I figured it out by calling a very helpful woman at Honeywell--but a simple set of instructions would have saved me a lot of time and aggravation!.

I ordered a door bell and chime. Bottom line - the door bell was beautiful but enormous and the chime was scratched so needed to return them. The chime came from another company so I had to return them in different packages, pay a restocking fee, and wait for an "email approval letter" to return them. I haven't experienced this kind of hassle in decades.
Needless to say, the Doorbell Factory has not kept up with the modern e-commerce business.

I ordered a wireless doorbell on May 12 - the products did not ship until almost 6 weeks later, June 22. When they arrived, I installed the items (a wireless button and receiver), but the products do not work more than half of the time. Phone calls and e-mails to customer service were left unanswered (it has been more than a week) and their address is not available to file a complaint with the BBB. Until they provide a refund for this product, I am out $133.13. Please do yourself a favor and avoid Doorbell Factory at all costs!

Bought a chime that required a push button converter. Converter doesn't work and is discontinued so no other converter will work with chime. Wasted over $100. Ripoff

Ordered over $200 worth of product, never received shipping info or product. No response with repeated attempts to contact for status. Had to dispute charge with Credit Card company.

My first experience with Doorbellfactory.com was a positive one. The items came as advertised and worked well. My more recent experience was less positive. I noticed their prices were considerably higher than other sites for some items. I went ahead and purchased from Doorbellfactory.com given my past experience. The items took 6 business days to arrive, when I had paid for 3 day. No apology or explanation was given for the delay. I quickly discovered one item did not work, and contacted customer service. I was verbally reassured I could return the item, and told to contact Returns via e-mail. Several exchanges later, they refused the return, citing their very strict return policy. I expect such policies from discount companies who offer little in the way of customer service. My frustration is paying a higher price point for items without any value-added customer service. Save your money, and purchase elsewhere.

Received unit quickly but wireless system from Honeywell only worked for 120 feet although advertised for 450 feet. Despite request for a return they did not return calls and would not respond to e-mails. Had to file a claim with credit card company, bad company to deal with. Do not buy from Doorbell Factory if you want any service.

I've made a few purchases from the doorbellfactory.com and was satisfied with all of my experiences. I received a gift certificate and purchased a Solid Brass Gecko doorbell in Oil Rubbed Bronze finish, and it is BEAUTIFUL! Since it was a Waterwood brand product, I also got free shipping! I came back to the Doorbell Factory and purchased a gift for my mother, a very unique Vicenza doorbell, and she loved it! And since I liked them on Facebook, I got 10% off! My most recent purchase was after I saw the Doorbell Factory in HGTV Magazine featuring some beautiful stone buttons by House Jewelry. Not only are the products wonderful, but the customer service is great too. I've been disappointed time and time again with customer service everywhere these days, but the customer service at the Doorbell Factory definitely exceeded my expectations! I will continue to shop and refer people to the Doorbell Factory!

Beware of the photos on the website. I purchased the owl/moon doorbell in antique brass shown on the website and was delivered a dark, monochromatic slab. This item is shown to have variations in color and highlights the detail. It is not how the actual doorbell looks. The manufacturer suggesting that the picture on the website looks as it does because of the camera flash and that if I want mien to look less used (have more shine) I should disassemble it and spray it with lacquer. You can not be sure of what you will get when you order from this company and they are not cheap in price, only in product.
