Besides waste of money. Lots of nonactive or not paid members, received. They do send a lot of notifications to me that members sent a smile. To find out that there is no response. Not fair for the paid member! Never do know, if they are a active member/profiles? The profile will say in review. I believe the the company sends messages and using profiles that are no longer a member on site. Or a lots of scammers!
Nothing in my area, the profiles are way out of distance.(Even with my own settings). Most profiles do not have a photo, not even if it says in review. Why is a company like this exist? Ripping people off?

Tip for consumers:
Do not waste your time and money. This site is fake and makes you very aggravate, knowing that you want to find that special someone, and they used that against you. To Spark Networks, it's a money maker and a fraud to us!
The refund is only good before 3 days.

I wanted my experience with Elite Singles to be positive, but after cancelling my subscription long before the automatic renewal period and was charged anyway, I am suspicious. Buyer beware warning. Find a way to secure your credit card if you do not want them to auto renew your subscription.
Attempts to communicate isn't that easy.

Tip for consumers:
Cancelling issues. Perhaps use a credit card you intend to cancel before they can charge it.

I have used eharmony and elite singles, both premium versions, and I feel that I have wasted my money on elitesingles. Small user base in Canada which doesn't help and the site has some annoying features or lack of it.
- Only paid version available, it's like asking to pay for a product without knowing what it has to offer.
- Cannot figure out if a user is still active, login activity visibility of other users would be highly helpful
- Cannot browse through matches pool other than the ones which show up in the daily suggestions, eHarmoney does a much better job in presenting the matches and flexibility of finding users applying various filters (matching score, registration date etc.) and it seems to have a larger user base too.
- the "Have you met" feature is garbage, tries to replicate the 'yes' or 'no' option that reminds me of mainstream casual dating apps

Most of the matches are scammers. Also, Most of the matches are in other states. I have never met anyone that I would consider going on a date with. I have only had a couple conversations on there with real people.

They dont have enough data base, fake profiles, they dont give you candidats that meets your criteria, you can't just look up people and connect easily with them, they send you 20 profiles a day that doesn't even come close to what you're looking for and thats it. Just simply money grabbing site.

I decided to try online dating and wanted to meet people who were interested in long term relationships. Here in Calgary, the best site to just meet people is Tinder - it's where I have found the most people go to see what's out there. But be careful - the operative word on that is 'most' - there is everyone on there and it is hard to filter. There are catphishers, scammers, fake profiles, etc - but Tinder makes it easy to spot those for the most part. That site is what it says it is. The people are disingenuous on there, but the site isn't. So I asked around and a male friend told me to try Elite Singles. To be blunt: - they say you can get a refund if you don't like their service in the first three days but you will not get that refund if you 'do' anything - now you know. IF YOU USE THE SERVICE, YOU DON'T GET THE REUND THAT THEY ADVERTISE YOU CAN GET. They also admit to keeping a Basic Membership Profile open when you don't auto-renew. What does this mean? A fake member that you think you can interact with. They are fudging their numbers. I advised that they can not keep my personal data. They said they will keep it anyway. Then they tell you that you have to ask for your personal data from each of their third party vendors (on writing this, I should ask them for a list of their third party vendors so I can contact them to ensure they have none of my personal data). They have more excuses and reasons for not refunding my money (Overpriced $300) so I have decided to let other people know how I was taken and for people to save their money and use more transparent sites. I don't mind paying the price - just give me the product you promised. And just so you know - if you're in Calgary, Canada - the same men on Tinder are also on the eliteSingles website/app. Save your money.

I have asked them many times to refund my money. Below, I offer you the timeline and what I am still going through with Mr. Daniel Brand - their supposed customer service agent:

1. A male friend recommended the site - I get excited.
2. I create a profile. I can't see pictures or anything.
3. Reading that they have a three-day refund policy - I get the subscription. I then wait for my profile to be reviewed.
4. I can't see anybody, read their profiles, and they can't see me, or read my profiles - elite singles was still reviewing my profile. That's day one.
5. I fiddle around with the website, defining preferences, download the app - redefine preferences, try to read the cyclical help pages. I mean, who tells you to go to the contact form but doesn't link to it?
6. I can now see pictures - and every man sounds exactly the same because of the site's archaic algorithm. Day two
7. I look at my matches' - and wonder why I paid for this service? I now try again to navigate the terrible help pages again.
8. First, I find out how to cancel, but after further reading, see that I have to ask so that eliteSingles doesn't automatically subscribe. Not fill out a form, select a radial button - no - in 2020, I have to submit a ticket through their system and wait to see if they'll acknowledge it. It says they will get back to me in 48 hours.
9. Second, now I can ask for a refund - but don't cancel without first asking to not auto-renew - or you'll be renewed automatically. For the record, businesses that aren't trying to scam people out of their money REMOVE barriers for people, not add them. If this service was legitimate, they wouldn't resort to such murky and misleading practices. Good businesses run on transparency. One of your customer care agents let it slip that if someone doesn't auto renew, their profile isn't deleted. It's converted to a basic membership - in other words, a false member. How else do you inflate your membership?
10. Four emails from their customer service agents - all circular - saying I need to ask not to auto renew, then I can cancel, then I can delete the profile - the very essence of hoops'. But not all of this information in one email. I had to request it separately.
11. Another email telling me that because I used the services of my subscription, I no longer qualify for the refund that was advertised. Huh? I inquired - still waiting on that response three days later. I asked about transparency. I ask that they delete all of my personal data. I do not want to be associated with this scam business. They advise they won't. And I need to contact their third party vendors separately. What?
12. Another form email comes - sorry to see you go' - if you liked us, please go to this link. If you didn't like us, please email our information catch-all email address and we will get to you.
13. I emailed (and now am in elite limbo) I asked again, to consider refunding my money - they respond that they can't answer because this isn't from a registered email account holder. What are they doing? This is the very essence of a scam. I looked at my email address - it was missing the dot between my first and last name. There is also the fact that in the body of the email, I said I deleted my account' - so maybe, just maybe, that there may or may not be an account associated to this email address anymore, or may be there is since the customer service agent keeps asking me to provide my ID number off of the main menu of the account that I have already indicated that I deleted, but that account will still be there, but we all know elite Singles will still be saying I'm a member, right? Confused? So am I.
14. I am a real person. Who has really been scammed.

I have written the following paragraphs many times now.

I repeat:

I am not happy. This is misleading and is theft. I deleted my account. I have asked for no further automatic renewals. I have cancelled my subscription to a useless exorbitantly priced service. I am asking you again - to refund my money as your service advertised.
Please rectify this. In the time of a pandemic and when you're offering a dating service, it is cruel and inhumane to take advantage of people trying to reduce the stress of isolation and seeking healthy, safe connections.
